Presents
Pamphlet 1338 Amos kc
1-1
Get a visual PICTURE of the way things will be spiritually in these last days.
Amos
means "burden" or figuratively "infliction",
the
application of which you will totally and completely understand
by
the time we are only part way through this informative book,
but
only if you will open your eyes and ears to see and understand the Word
of God
and
the simplicity in the way our Father communicates to His children.
One
of those simple ways is that He had His prophets
foretell
us and place in writing all the things that would befall us in the final
generation
and
THEN He had all those things "acted out" in type,
like
a play upon the stage (though they really happened)
so
that we could get a visual PICTURE of the way things would be spiritually
in these last days.
In
fact, the apostle Paul made it a point to remind us
that
those things which happened unto our forefathers
were
types and ensamples for us to understand today:
1 Cor. 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
How
well versed are you in the words of the prophets
and
how well do you know the history contained in the Old Testament?
That
is a vitally important question because
if
you think you are in good standing with the Lord
and
yet you do not study His Word and learn from HIStory,
then
you are in serious trouble pal,
and
you are in serious danger of falling down before antichrist, the false
Jesus,
in
the Great Falling Away,
that
great apostasy spoken of by Paul in 2 Thes. 2:3!
So do you think you are in good standing?
[12] Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
Jesus
Christ told us five times in Mark 13
to
"Take Heed" to current events
and
to the words of the prophets
and
the apostle Paul also warned us to "take heed"
to
the historical events that befell our forefathers.
Take heed = âëÝðùblepoôblep'-o Strong's #991
A primary verb; to look at (literally or figuratively):—behold, beware, lie, look (on, to), perceive, regard, see, sight, take heed. Compare G3700.
And
if it be that someone is telling you that all you need is "love in your
heart"
and
you do not need to study His Word, especially the Old Testament,
do
not listen to them.
They are LIARS!
They
may mean well but nevertheless they are still LIARS!
Because
quite frankly dear Christian,
if
you do not seek Him through His Word,
you
do NOT have true love for Him in you heart.
Jesus Christ said so Himself:
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
How can you keep "His Words" if you don't know what they are?
That would include both testaments!
To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits;
to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy
Spirit, you accomplish both.
