Pamphlet 1640 Micah 9-1

But first our people allow themselves to be spiritually seduced by the false messiah.

The Kingdom of God will soon be established on Mount Zion and the Prince of Peace, along with His saints whom He makes kings and priests, shall rule all nations with a Rod of Iron!

(Rev. 5:10 "And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.")

Yes, it SHALL come to pass exactly as "the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it (Micah 4:4)", but first unfortunately our people must go through travail because of their idolatrous sins, because they allow themselves to be spiritually seduced by the false messiah and impregnated with his lies.

Make no mistake about it!

The Assyrian, who is Satan himself (Isa. 14), the false-christ in these last days, is coming at the 6th Trump to "lay siege" and take our people spiritually captive BEFORE the true Savior comes at the 7th Trump to deliver His people out the hands of our enemies.

So get ready!

Put on the Gospel Armor (Eph. 6) and prepare for the great spiritual battle of these last days.

Micah 5:1
Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.
"Now" means "meanwhile" as in "until that day" when Yeshua returns.

"They shall smite the Judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek" was at the first advent when He came in grace to shed His precious blood upon the cross so that ALL, even those who despised Him and smote Him, could be saved.

But alas, as it was declared from the beginning, that One who was born a babe in a lowly manger in the little town of Bethlehem shall come forth to rule all nations as the King of kings and Lord of lords.

[2] But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah*, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
* Bethlehem Ephratah means "house of bread" and "fruitfulness" respectively and lies just a few miles southwest of Jerusalem.

Did you know it was from this verse right here in the Book of Micah that the chief priests and scribes were able to tell wicked king Herod where Jesus Christ would be born?

Here is the account written in Matthew 2:

Matthew 2:4
And when he [Herod] had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.

[5] And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,

[6] And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

It is also written in Revelation 12:5 that Christ was born to "rule all nations with a rod of iron", but that is not until the second advent.

Right now He sits at the right hand of the Father but soon He SHALL come forth at the sound of the 7th Trump, after the false messiah has reigned and caused great spiritual desolation.

Rev. 12:5
And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
Once again, until that time (i.e. meanwhile) the woman must travail!
Micah 5:3
Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.
The time Micah is referring to is the time of the end, the time when the "sorrows" (travail, labor pangs) Christ spoke of in Mark 13 and Mat. 24 occur just before the birth of the new nation when that One born in Bethlehem of Judea returns as the King of kings and Lord of lords and establishes the mountain of the house of the LORD on high (Micah 4:1).

Who are the "remnant of his brethren"?

They are God's elect whom He shall send forth as His troops to stand against the Assyrian and quite frankly "kick his butt"!

They shall be used to bring forth the great teaching to His people and issue His proclamation to the nations in the last days.

Micah 5:4
And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.
"Shall stand" (stand = amad in Hebrew) means to "abide behind" or "appoint", and to "feed" is to "shepherd" as in to teach.

Of course the "strength of the LORD" is the Word of God.

Did you know that the name EZEK-I-EL, belonging to the prophet who was a type of the "appointed watchmen", means "God is my Strength" in Hebrew?

In other words, the Great Shepherd, the Prince of Peace, shall "appoint" shepherds, even His watchmen, and they shall be the instruments in His hand to take back the land and deliver the kingdom out of the hands of the Assyrian.

Even now He uses them to bring His people out of Babylon, i.e. religious confusion.

"Come out of her my people!" (Rev. 18:4)

[5] And this Man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.
This Man is "This Great Shepherd of Israel", Jesus Christ. He is our strength.

He is the only One who can provide true peace of mind during the time of the false-christ's reign, i.e. when the "Assyrian shall come into our land" and tread upon our palaces (high places, i.e. churches).

You see, if Satan thinks he is going to have an easy time of things when he arrives he is in for a rude awakening.

God shall (and even has) send his elect, those 7,000 who "have not bowed the knee to Baal" (nor will they), to take a stand against the fiery spiritual darts of the Assyrian!

That's right, they are true unwavering, strong Christian soldiers, with the full panoply of Gospel Armor (Eph. 6) on and in place.

They are highly skilled and trained, and are willing and ready to wield the sword of the Lord at His command and deliver the kingdom from the hands of the enemy.

The apostle Paul speaks of those 7,000.

Romans 11:4
But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
These seven thousand are the same as the seven shepherds and also the same as the seven eyes of the Lord, i.e. His witnesses, of Zech 4 who hold the "plummet" in their hand, that "plumbline" (Amos 7:7) of truth which is His true Word, not the words of men.
Zech. 4:10
For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
Let's look at the phrase "seven shepherds and eight principal men" in Micah 5:5.

It sounds as if there are two sets of people, i.e. 7 shepherds plus 8 principal men but there are not.

The word "eight" in Hebrew is used as an adjective to describe the seven shepherds just the same as "principal men" is used to describe the seven shepherds.

Let's look at the definitions of "eight" and "principal" and it will help us understand.

eight = äð†îÊLÔ äð†BîLÔ äðˆîÊLÔ äðˆBîLÔshemoòneh shemoòneh shemoònaòh shemoònaòh(1,2)shem-o-neh',(3,4)shem-o-naw' Strong's #8083
Apparently from H8082 through the idea of plumpness; a cardinal number, eight (as if a surplus above the "perfect" seven); also (as ordinal) eighth:—eight ([-een, -eenth]), eighth.
Actually if you take your Strong's Concordance and take this word back to the prime you will find it means to "shine" as in "oily".

It simply means that the "seven shepherds", who are God's elect of those two "candlesticks" (Zech 4, Rev. 1:16), who are of the two churches of Smyrna and Philadelphia, are filled to the brim with "oil", i.e. plump full with their lamps-a-blazin'!

They are His anointed ones, His appointed ones, the watchmen (eyes), the sons and daughters who understand the visions of the prophets and who He sends forth in the last days to teach His Word straight on line by line using the plumbline, i.e. teaching the truth "straight on" pleasing their Father, not men!

They are principal men and women indeed!

principal = Céñ"ð€nesŒòyknes-eek' Strong's #5257
From H5258; properly something poured out, that is, a libation; also a molten image; by implication a prince (as anointed):—drink offering, duke, prince (- ipal).
Again, God works through and uses His election to deliver His people from the captivity and oppression of the Assyrian.

The next verse documents what they shall do:

[6] And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.
The "land of Nimrod" is none other than Babylon (Gen. 10:8-10)!

"Babel" means "confusion" and "lon" is "land".

Baby-lon, Babel-land, therefore means "Land of Confusion" or as some like to call it, the "State of Confusion", which is the exact spiritual location Satan is leading this nation into, or haven't you looked around lately? Hmm, we could actually think of the final generation which began on May 15, 1948, when the fig tree was set out in the land of Judea, as "Babel Boomers" instead of "Baby Boomers". It is just another way of saying "confused rock-n-rollers"!

To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits; to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you accomplish both.
