Pamphlet 1643 Micah 10-2By the way, angels look just like men
even as do all the angels who appear in scripture,
like those who appeared unto Abraham and Lot, etc.Micah 5:10 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots:
We can even call it the cleansing of America and Great Britain, etc., for it is the purification of the House of Israel.
Dr. Bullinger also notes that this verse (vs. 10) speaks
of "Evil people", even "Military",
which is precisely what it is talking about.
They are the military "host", AKA the "locust army" of
the Assyrian,
Apollyon, i.e. Satan and his angels who are kicked out
of heaven in Rev. 12:7-9.
Rev. 9:7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.
By the way, angels look just like men even as do all the
angels who appear in scripture,
like those who appeared unto Abraham and Lot, etc.
[8] And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.
[9] And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.
Of course we knew that from Paul's words in Ephes. 6:12
"For we wrestle not against flesh
and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness
of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
Also, when we get to the next book in these Minor Prophets
we shall these horses and chariots described as "pransing
horses" and "jumping chariots".
horses = c*uwc*, soos, Hebrew 5483; or c*uc*, soos; from an unused root meaning to skip (properly for joy); a horse (as leaping); also a swallow (from its rapid flight) :- crane, horse ([-back, -hoof]).Compare Hebrew 6571 (parash).Nahum 3:1 Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departeth not;[2] The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and of the pransing horses, and of the jumping chariots.
[3] The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and there is none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:
[4] Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.
To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits;
to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy
Spirit, you accomplish both.
