Amos chapter 8

Do you know how to answer the age old questions, "When does the end come?" and "When is the final generation"? Well, we have now come to the next to the last chapter, the incredible 8th chapter, of the Book of Amos in which Amos will be given a vision of the time of the end, even of the timing of the end, and some very important information necessary for our understanding in these last days. For that reason we are going to take some extra time in covering this chapter. So let's begin.

Amos 8:1
Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and behold a basket of summer fruit.
Adonai Yahveh, the Lord GOD, now shows Amos a basket of "summer fruit" which means "ripe fruit". It is important to note that the word "summer" used here is a figure of speech called a "Metonymy" which is simply a change of noun. In this case that change of noun is used as an Adjunct which is "when something pertaining to the subject is put for the subject itself." In other words, "summer" is put (by the Fig. Metonymy, by adjunct) for "ripe" which characterizes the "summer"! (See note in Companion Bible)

Why is this so important? Let's read the next verse and we will find out.

[2] And He said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.
Do you think God asked Amos "what SEEST thou" as a rhetorical question? I think not. Now this next statement may sound overly simplistic to some but you must understand and not overlook the fact that Amos, the servant of God, student of His Word, was able to recognize that is was FRUIT and also that it was RIPE, which identifies the time of SUMMER, when the LORD will no longer delay his judgment and the pouring out of the cup of His wrath.

You see, our loving Father, Adonai Yahveh, has just TOLD US that this VISION of the Summer Fruit concerns the "end time", the final generation when the "end is come upon My people Israel"! So this concerns the 10 tribes of the House of Israel, i.e. America, Great Britain, Canada, &c. If we dig a little deeper we will also discover that He gave us a cute little saying, a play on words (a figure of speech called a Paronomasia) in this verse using the words "summer fruit" and "end" which are like-sounding or rhyming words in the Hebrew language. They are "õP÷­qayits kah'-yits" and "õ÷« qeòtskates" which means "Ripe is the fruit, ripe is the time."

So all we have to do as God's servants in order to understand the time being spoken of is to understand the symbology of the vision Amos saw. Remember we all ready know that it identifies the "end coming upon His people". Let's start with "summer". Jesus told us how to know when "summer" is near in Mat. 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. Let's go to Mark 13:

Mark 13:28
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:

We identify when "summer" is near by following the explicit instruction, the simple words of Jesus Christ, to learn the Parable of the Fig Tree. Do you keep His commands, His instructions, i.e. His words? That actually depends on whether you truly love Him or not. John 14:23 "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him".

The "Parable of the Fig Tree" actually begins in the fig grove in the garden of Eden where mother Eve was spiritually AND physically seduced by Satan and where the seed (offspring) of that serpent, Cain and his generations of kenites (sons of Kain), between whom God had placed enmity with the seed of the woman, Abel and the children of Adam, was symbolically covered up by the fig leaves that were sewn together and placed over her womb. If you look up "fig" in a dictionary you will find that it figuratively symbolizes something hidden as in the expression "It is a fig". Yes, the truth of what happened in the garden has remained hidden and obscured by traditional fairy tales of "apples and snakes" unto this very day. Satan just loves it. And you know that Amaziah (see chapter 7) would certainly never allow such a teaching of truth as this in his nationally recognized church.

Nevertheless, and to make a long study short, the sons of Cain would eventually affix themselves to the tribes of Israel (1 Chron. 2:55) and eventually infiltrate the tribe of Judah (read Ezra and Nehemiah concerning the Levite and the Nethinim) and lay claim that they are actually of the good seed of Adam, through Abraham and Judah, and that they are God's chosen people, both of which are LIES! They are those "bad figs", those "liars" of the synagogue of Satan identified in Rev. 2:9 and 3:9 whose fake ID's are taught by the two churches of Smyrna and Philadelphia, the only two churches Christ found no fault with.

Also, in the 24th chapter of the Book of Jeremiah, the prophet Jeremiah was shown two baskets of "figs" and identified one as very "naughty figs" which could not be eaten and the other as very "good figs". So the tribe of Judah today is actually a mixture of good figs (those who really are of Judah) and the bad figs (those who are imposters). However, Jeremiah saw BOTH baskets, both the good and the bad figs, set out in the land of Judea. 

Do you know historically when that occurred?

It was on May 15, 1948, when the United Nations, which was set up and instituted by the Zionists themselves, gave sanction to the state of Israel. 

It has COME TO PASS!
Note: So you see, we have actual grandchildren of Satan (666), living amongst the Jews in that little country in the Middle east that we call Israel today; just the same as we have actual grandchildren of Satan (666), mixed in with the other ancient Israelites descendants who make up the Christian churches (from Northwestern Europe, the Isles of Britain, and the Americas today. in this 21st century.)

Next verse:

[29] So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
The beginning of "summer" is when the planting has taken place, not the harvest. First ripe figs actually occur in late summer. However, to show you how good He is to us in "foretelling us all things (Mark 13:23)" He let us know the following:
[30] Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
The "generation of the fig tree" shall not pass until ALL these prophecies are fulfilled, DONE! To a wise person who can "take heed" and put two and two together, this simply means that there will be "Baby Boomers" who will see the return of Jesus Christ! That in itself should let you know that it is now late in the summer season because the Boomers are starting to mature, i.e. ripen to the status of senior citizen where everything can be purchased for 10% less.

But we are to be even more perceptive than that and be able to SEE when the fruit is ripe! What fruit are we talking about? What is fruit symbolic of anyway? Hopefully you are not at the level where you think all the trees talked about in Bible have bark on them and that Eve ate an apple from a fruit tree. Trees are used symbolically THROUGHOUT the Bible to represent people, men and women, even Satan, known as the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and that old "box cedar" in Ezek. 31, and Jesus Christ, the Tree of Life. If you have never read the 31st chapter of Ezekiel regarding "trees" then do so now!

Our Father even likens Himself to a great fir tree, an Evergreen Tree (symbolic of eternal life) and says you are get your "fruit" from Him (Hosea 14:6). You see, good trees produce good fruit and bad trees produce bad fruit. Consider the words and the warning of Jesus Christ:

Matthew 7:15
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
How do you tell if a prophet, i.e. a preacher or teacher, is truly of God or one of those MANY false ones Christ warned us about? It is real simple. You simply test their "FRUITS"!
[16] Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
You do not go out and gather grapes from thorn bushes, right? You would have to go to a live grape vine to gather grapes.
[17] Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Don't you remember Eve ate the fruit from the corrupt tree which was in the midst of the garden. She was told not to, wasn't she? By the way, you have been told the SAME THING! Do you get your fruit from the great Evergreen, the Tree of Life, the Word of God, or from fast talking preachers?

Remember, aside from the other trees in the garden of Eden, there are two specific trees mentioned there: 1) the tree of life, and 2) the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Do you know what or who they were? (Note: throughout the Bible trees symbolically represent people) Don't forget. the second tree mentioned in the "Garden of Eden" knows both GOOD & EVIL.
There were two trees in the Garden of Eden:---One was "The Tree of Life" (Jesus Christ); His fruit will lead you to ETERNAL LIFE! and the other was "The Tree of the Knowledge of GOOD and EVIL" (Satan); his fruit leads to ETERNAL DEATH!, even though some of it is good. Satan returns to earth, claiming he is God, five months before Christ's return. God is allowing Satan five months on earth as a test for us, to see if we who claim to be Christians really know the difference between What is HOLY and what is PROFANE!--- DON'T FORGET THAT SATAN IS A SUPERNATURAL ARCHANGEL We will be no match for him and his trickery with out "The Seal of God in Our Foreheads". He fooled and seduced Eve in the garden! Don't you be fooled by his good fruit, and worship him as God.--- Watch for the EVIL fruit! Don't have Christ return to find you have already been to bed with Satan! Will you remain spiritually true as a "chaste virgin" and wait for your bridegroom, Jesus Christ, or will you spiritually hop in bed with Satan when he comes to earth performing miracles and claims to be God?

Satan comes first claiming he is God!  Satan was the tree in the garden with the knowledge of both good and evil.   Don't you be fooled by the good he can and will do, to make you believe he is God! Study to show yourself approved; knowing the difference between what is holy (The Real Jesus Christ) and what is profane (The Instead-of-Christ,  Satan, i.e.the anti-christ).;.Also remember,he brings his fallen angels, from the days of Noah, with him and he already has plenty of help here on earth, i.e. Kenites from his encounter with Eve in the garden! Here are Jesus' instructions.
Matthew 13:28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
Hmmm, it seems the sowing of the tares was the deliberate covert activity of the enemy/Satan.

Should we go round those suckers up?

Matthew 13::29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
Let the tares alone for now! That's an order!
[30] Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Matthew 13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are the angels.

So it seems that the reason to count the "Number of the Beast" is to let us know there are MANY LIVING AMONG US.

[18] A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

[19] Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

The bad tree of the knowledge of good and evil which was once in the midst of the garden of Eden has already been sentenced to be cast into the lake of fire. It appears that many of his branches (his Kenite grandkids and also many professing Christians who have allowed him to spiritually influence them by those same Kenites, 666 ) shall go with him.
Note: They have already formed "Mystery Babylon". which affects our Politics (I won't even get into that), our Education Systems (The Media and schools)  our Economics  (International Banking)  and our  Religion (The so-called 21st century Christian churches.)
[20]  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
I'm going to stop right here and just say take a good look at our nation, especially religiously and economically both of which our Father is about to emphasize in the remainder of this chapter. We need to be aware of the powers of the Four Hidden Dynasties which are Politics, Education, Economics, and Religion, and the degree to which they are now controlled by the antagonists of Christianity. You see, there is about to be a Big Shakeup in the status quo. Call it the earthquake of Uzziah!  Remember that the LORD has just said in verse 2 that the "end is coming upon His people Israel".

We have allowed the four horsemen (See pamphlets #1848, & #1011 or #1012) to run to and fro and take our people captive.

Let's return to Amos.
Amos 8:3
And the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day, saith the Lord GOD: there shall be many dead bodies in every place; they shall cast them forth with silence.
There will be many people who will be spiritually slain, who will die by the spiritual sword, "in that day"! They will even be those who sing songs of praise and worship in Amaziah's temple and all those other Beth-avens, those spiritually dried up Christian churches void of His Truth. Yes, there will be spiritually dead souls in "every place".  "They shall cast them forth with silence" simply means that this is spiritual death, and that which is spiritual cannot be seen nor heard by flesh eyes and flesh ears. Again, the Book of Amos has not looked upon the churches of this land, as they exist two years before the great earthquake, i.e. the return of Christ, with much favor at all. Remember what our Father said about all those songs they sing to Him while they ignore His Word and allow injustice to reign throughout the land?
Amos 5:23
Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.
Yes, our Father is not too happy with Amaziah type churches which will not allow the Word of God to be taught there. They may be singing their happy hymns in their Beth-els now, but they are going to "Change Their Tune" very soon!

We have also learned in this book of Amos about the "Fat-cats" in high places who take advantage of our people and rip them off. Our leaders who should have continued to build our nation using the same "plumbline" our founding fathers did, have allowed the sons of the House of Hemath (1 Chron. 2:55), i.e. the kenites, the bad figs, to enter in and they now literally rule over us, using many of our own leaders as "pawns in the game"! Remember the vision Amos saw of the locusts consuming our land? What do you know about the Hidden Dynasty of the Economy? Do you know why we have a many Trillion Dollar national DEBT and even more DEBT than that among our local cities, and counties, and townships, &c? We were warned long ago by the Word of God through Moses that the stranger, the kenite, would become the head and rule over us through the power of economics, through lending (usury). We have not followed God's laws of economics and have not declared the jubilee inscribed on our Liberty Bell. 

Here are the simple words of warning from our Father in the great Book of Deuteronomy. So simple and easy to understand are they, that they need no commentary whatsoever:
Deut. 28:42 All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume.
[43] The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.
[44] He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.
[45] Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:

We continue now in chapter 8 of Amos and if you recall, we discussed in detail the following verses, 4-7, earlier.  These verses describe the 3rd Seal of Revelation chapter 6 which is the Black Horse of the Hidden Dynasty of the Economy, the one whose rider has a "pair of balances in his hand" and sells "a measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny (Rev. 6:5-6)". Barley is poor man's wheat and a "penny" at the time of this writing was actually a day's wages. Our Father wants us to be keenly aware of this injustice and corruption of the markets and the economic captivity in these last days.

Amos 8:4
Hear this, O ye that swallow up the needy, even to make the poor of the land to fail,

[5] Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit?

What is being said here is that the fat-cats impatiently lie awake all night long devising ways to increase their profits and rip people off deceitfully and dishonestly, i.e. by falsifying the balances. Waiting for the sabbath to be over reminds of the time when we Baby Boomers were young children and retail stores and markets in this nation were all closed on Sundays. No more! Those days are GONE!
[6] That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; yea, and sell the refuse of the wheat?
Those who have gotten high and rule over us have made economic slaves of our people. When you realize what is left of our day's pay after taxes and usury are taken out, there is not much left with which to buy that "refuse of wheat" they dare call bread. " A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny (Rev. 6:5-6)". How true, how true!
[7] The LORD hath sworn by the excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works.
The time is coming when all shall reap what they have sown. The LORD has not forgotten the false glory (excellency) and the evil works that have taken place in this nation. There is only one way that bad works and evil deeds can be forgiven and erased and that is through repentance, through the blood of the Lamb. Seek the Lord GOD, and ye shall live!
[8] Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwelleth therein? and it shall rise up wholly as a flood; and it shall be cast out and drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.
You tell me, the Lord says! If you can see the injustice and the vile corruption going on in our nation as described in verses 4-7 then the question is "Shall not the land (i.e. the inhabitants of the land) tremble for this? Shall not everyone mourn that dwelleth therein and get what they deserve?" Well, they shall and it shall overflow the whole land like the flood of the Nile.
Amos 8:9
And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:
Yes, the land shall tremble when our Father brings "the end upon His people Israel". Heed the warning now. Sound the alarm, there are baskets of summer fruit before us and the end draweth nigh. The prophet Joel speaks of this trembling of the land and the day darkness and gloominess:
Joel 2:1
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

[2] A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

There is going to be a great shake-up real soon and many Christians who think they are in good standing and sing songs in church about being taken away in some rapture are going to be devastated and so ashamed when they realize what harlots they have become and how they have allowed themselves to be seduced by the false messiah. Their wedding and rapture party will be over and the day shall turn to mourning and lamentation. We do not glory in their loss or their shame for they are our brethren who simply do not have eyes to see the great deception of these end times. Nevertheless, it will not be a happy time for many Christians.
Amos 8:10
And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.
Those foolish virgins who attended the Beth-els of Amaziah (21st century so- called Christian churches) and his contemporaries who graduated from men's seminaries and taught them the traditions of men, shall be ashamed to face the true Bridegroom (Rev. 6:16).

Finally, in this 8th chapter of the Book of Amos, in the Old Testament of all places, we have come to the verse that fully explains what the famine of the end time is which Christ talked about in Mat. 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. We need also understand that this is no longer prophecy and that we are right now in the midst of that great famine.

Amos 8:11
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

You know, a loving person who SEES his or her own people dying from starvation would naturally give them food to eat if they had some, wouldn't they? Are you familiar with the parable in Matthew 25:31-46? God's people of the house of Israel are basically well fed and have plenty to drink in this country and yet while they gather food for the homeless and needy (a good work for sure), they themselves are starving and dying of thirst, NOT for bread or for water, but of HEARING THE WORDS OF THE LORD! Are you able to help any of them, to feed them bread and meat from His Word, or give them to drink from His well of Living Water, or even just show them where the plumbline is?
  
Matthew 25:31  
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall He sit upon the throne of his glory:

[32] And before Him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

The Valley of Jehoshaphat.
[33] And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

[34] Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Seek Him and love Him by keeping His Words and He will bless you.
[35] For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
This is spiritual hunger, and spiritual thirst and nakedness and sickness and prison.
[36] Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

[37] Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

Can you look out across this nation and see the Valley of Dry Bones Ezekiel saw in Ezekiel 37 which was caused by the famine and the drought, the lack of food and water from His Word?
[38] When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

[39] Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

[40] And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

The famine in our land is a spiritual famine for the Bread of Life, the Word of God. For without the knowledge from His Word, our people are destroyed (Hos. 4:6).
Amos 8:12
And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.
They shall wander from Sea to shining Sea, from border to border, back and forth, here and there, from one Bethel (church) to another, and shall not find the truth from the Word of God taught. What a waste of time and energy! Haven't you read what Amos wrote: "Seek not Bethel (Amos 5:5)". There are way too many Amaziah's out there. Hey, you have the Word of God, the very Bread of Life, right before you! Seek ye Him, and ye shall live! Here is His PROMISE!
John 6:35
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
FEAST or FAMINE! His Word or some Bethel! It is your choice dear one!
Amos 8:13
In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.
You can thank all those good reverends and fancifully dressed evangelists and priests and all those highly polished brazen preachers for the famine! It is precisely because of the drought of His truth, the "Living Water" having been dried up by the scorching "fire" (remember Amos' second vision in chapter 7), that our nation has become a valley of dry bones as described in Ezekiel 37! Remember what happened when Ezekiel was told to go teach the truth to them? Bone joined to bone and they came to life (spiritually)!

[14] They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beer-sheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again.

If you do some homework as you are instructed in 2 Tim 2:15, you will learn that Dan and Beer-sheba were where the golden calves were set up for people to go and worship instead of having to go to Jerusalem according to the Word of God. So the people quickly began to suffer from that Mad Cow disease of IDOLATRY, which is the "Sin of Samaria"! Who are they who swear, i.e. those who make oaths to the false god? The Amaziah types and their harlots! Again, the sin of Samaria, the sin of America, is IDOLATRY. Though they do it mostly because of ignorance, because they lack the knowledge of His Word, our people worship the wrong god, the false god, the instead of Jesus, the god of the golden calves which were set up at the borders in Dan and Beer-sheba. Again, the "sin" of Samaria, the capital of the 10 tribes of Israel and therefore representative of the whole, is IDOLATRY, the worship of another god instead of the "I AM the Lord thy God" of the first commandment.

Because it is so critical that one fully understands the "famine" of the end time caused by the lack of wisdom and knowledge from His Word, and in so far as all prophets are all in one accord concerning the events of these last days, let's let one of them give us some further explanation of the famine. We will conclude this study with the words from Hosea, whose name means "salvation", as in the salvation of His people Israel:

Hosea 4:1
Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
He is not happy about the famine and the following pestilences:
[2] By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
This describes the Amaziah's of many of our churches today. They make false oaths (promises to our people) and lie (teaching traditions of men) and kill (souls, i.e. spiritually) and steal (steal the precious harvest) and commit adultery (idolatry). "They break out" means they "breach" the law, the Word of God and "blood touches blood" is a figure of speech meaning they commit "one sin after another".  One of the great lessons we learn in Hosea is that adultery is symbolic of idolatry, the greater sin, so while these sins of swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery certainly are prevalent in our land, one must understand that in reality they are but "symptoms" of our spiritual sickness caused by the lack of the knowledge of the Word of God. We've got big problems in our land right now. And now you know why!

[3] Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
We "SEE" the corruption and injustice and idolatry in our land. That's why He asked the question:
Amos 8:8 Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwelleth therein?
In other words, shall justice and righteous judgment not be executed upon the unrepentant who oppress His children?
[4] Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for thy people are as they that strive with the priest.
The Amaziah's of our country who are the many "priests of Bethel", the church leaders, those who come in the name of Jesus Christ claiming to be His ministers while deceiving the majority of God's people, are going to be held accountable for the famine, i.e. for what they teach. Does it make sense to you that if the majority of Christians are deceived as Christ said they would be, that it would be the majority of the preachers who are deceiving them, as Christ said would be so?
[5] Therefore shalt thou fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall with thee in the night, and I will destroy thy mother.
They are going to fall and their churches are going to be destroyed.
[6] My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Those Biblically illiterate Amaziah-types who teach our people that all you need to have is love in your heart and be nice and sweet as pie to everyone are in for a rude awakening. We saw how Amaziah rejected God's Word and kicked old Amos out of his Bethel.
[7] As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.
They are going to fall and when Jesus Christ returns they will be standing there (spiritually) stark naked wishing the mountains would fall on them because they will be so shamefully exposed (Rev. 6:15-16)!
[8] They eat up the sin of my people, and they set their heart on their iniquity.
They let the sin of His people go right on by, especially their gross idolatry, by covering up the plumbline, by rejecting truth and substituting ceremony and traditions in its place! They are interested in other things, like their own glory and their love of money, i.e. those highly polished bronze collection plates, both lusts being iniquitous.
[9] And there shall be, like people, like priest: and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them their doings.
Pay day, harvest time, is coming real soon and everyone shall reap what he or she has sown, some to glory and honor, but all too many to shame and sorrow. "The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more (Amos 8:2)."Thank God He has given us the Millennium where our brothers and sisters can have an opportunity to be taught the difference between the holy and the profane and learn to discern between the clean and the unclean (Ezek. 44:23).
[10] For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit whoredom, and shall not increase: because they have left off to take heed to the LORD.
The "stuff" they eat, the fast junk food of churchianity, will not be enough to save them. They shall commit whoredom (idolatry), which means they will be seduced and jump in bed with the false messiah. Why? "They have left off to 'Take Heed' to the LORD". In other words they have not studied His Word.

  John’s Note: In 2004 I gave a short speech at my 39 year old daughter Debbie’s funeral. Debbie left two young children behind when she died, a 8 year old son and a 3 year old daughter. I knew
Debbie believed most of the same things about the 1st earth age as I believe. She told me several times about her seeing in her new born babies’ eyes, what she took to mean they were saying good bye to someone, a 1st earth age friend in heaven, or a 2nd  earth age friend who has previously gone back home to be with the Lord.

Anyway, at her funeral I talked about her going home to be with the Lord, leaving such young children behind. I said, “Debbie, I promise you that your mother and I will make sure that your two little ones learn to tell the difference between what is Holy, Jesus Christ, and what Profane, Satan.

Now, the reason I bring this up is, there were two ministers in attendance at her funeral and, when I said that, both ministers said, “Amen” I’m sure they said that, not because they truly meant it, but for the sake of the other folks who were in attendance, some, members of their churches. In fact I was in attendance at one of their churches where a guest minister preached a whole sermon about how our museums are faking the real size of dinosaurs, saying they were really just small insects that they enlarge for their displays. I have been to both their churches and they don’t teach the Bible, book by book, chapter by chapter and verse by verse, correctly dividing the “Word of Truth”.  Most so-called Christian churches are starving their members of the “Words of Truth” found in the Bible.

That is the main reason I started this http://americanwisdomseries.com web site. There are few churches that teach the Bible book by book, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse, correctly dividing the “Words of Truth”. (2 Timothy 2:15) There is a drastic need in this country for places where believers (sheep, Christ calls them), can find green pastures. Most churches that I’ve ever attended are starving their sheep.

"We thank our Father so much that we are privileged in these last days to eat our "daily bread" from the table of the Lord, His Word, and to drink that "living water" from His well of Truth, His precious Word. May we be of service to our starving brothers and sisters according to your will, Father." In Jesus name I pray, Amen
