Christians, why did God have all those historical events of our people, the Israelites, recorded for us in scripture.
Do you think all of those events just happened by chance?

The Book of Hosea: The book about the salvation of God's children
who have gone astray and whored after other god's
and who continually rely on everything and everyone else under the sun (think United Nations)
to give them peace and security except the ONLY one who can truly give those things to them,
their heavenly Father.

It is sad but true and it was foretold by Jesus Christ Himself,
that the majority of Christians in the last days would be deceived
because the many preachers and teachers who come in His name will lead them,
though not intentionally in many cases but through their own ignorance of His Word,
to follow after antichrist, the false Messiah,
who will soon appear unto them disguised as the real Jesus Christ.

Which Jesus do you follow?

There are two you know!

Do you follow the Jesus taught by the traditions of men
or do you follow the One who reveals Himself through His Word?

Are you deceived by men's traditions
and will thus be taken captive by antichrist, Instead-of-Jesus,
or do you have the wisdom through the knowledge of His Word,
i.e. enough oil in your lamp, to see your way and endure until the end when the true Messiah returns at the 7th Trump?

Let us take a lesson from the history of our people.

Hosea 7:11 Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.
Ephraim, the largest of and representative of the 10 tribes of the house of Israel,
is like a deluded bird who does not have enough sense to know where to fly to.

Chirp, chirp! Flutter, flutter!

The analogy is that God's people do not have enough heart (wisdom from His Word)
to be able to keep their sense of direction
and know who it is that protects their nest
and so they continue to forsake Him
and continue to make alliances with other superpowers for their welfare and protection.

Well, it is not like they haven't been warned.

It is not like they do not have the Word of God before them.
(Did you know that the Bible has been the #1 Best Seller since the founding of our country?)

Therefore God will see to it that they are chastised (vs. 12) for their disobedience and He warned them through His prophets, His Word, that they would be taken into captivity by the Assyrian, both then (physically) and now (spiritually).Yes, "silly" (deceived) and "without heart" (void of wisdom) most surely and accurately describes our people to this very day:

silly = pathah, paw-thaw', Hebrew 6601; a primitive root; to open, i.e. be (causative make) roomy; usually figurative (in a mental or moral sense) to be (causative make) simple or (in a sinister way) delude :- allure, deceive, enlarge, entice, flatter, persuade, silly (one).

heart = leb, labe, Hebrew 3820; a form of Hebrew 3824 (lebab); the heart; also used (figurative) very widely for the feelings, the will and even the intellect; likewise for the centre of anything :- + care for, comfortably, consent, × considered, courag [-eous], friend [-ly], ([broken-], [hard-], [merry-], [stiff-], [stout-], double) heart ([-ed]), × heed, × I, kindly, midst, mind (-ed), × regard ([-ed]), × themselves, × unawares, understanding, × well, willingly, wisdom.

There is one thing you can count on as sure as the sun coming up in the morning: Our Father is ALWAYS true to His word, and He said Israel would go into captivity if they transgressed His covenant and so into captivity they did go:
2 Kings 17:4 And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea: for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison.

[5] Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria, and besieged it three years.

[6] In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

Always remember that what happened to our people in the past happened as a type for our benefit,
for our admonition, so that we "upon whom the ends of the world (age) are come"
can get a clear visual PICTURE in our minds of what will befall us spiritually in these last days.

Because you see, the captivity and the battle of these last days is a spiritual conflict,
a battle for the inner souls of men that cannot be seen with the flesh eye.

In other words, you can see an actual sword slice through a man's flesh,
but you cannot see a spiritual sword slice through a man's soul.

Neither can you "see" the "spiritual captivity" of our people
by the soon coming King of Babylon (Satan as Antichrist),
but you can "see" the physical captivity of our people by the historical King of Babylon.

Again, that is why God had all those historical events of our people recorded for us in scripture.

Do you think all of those events just happened by chance?

Absolutely not! Paul explains:

1 Cor. 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
If you understand this one simple principle it will help you to understand the entire Bible,
including prophecy, much more clearly.

For example: The seduction by the fallen angels that took place before flood of Noah, and the devastating flood of Noah itself, helps us visualize the spiritual seduction of God's people and the spiritually devastating flood of lies soon to drown the whole world in deception. That is why Christ said Luke 17:26-27 "And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. [27] They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all."

To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits; to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you accomplish both.
