Give Me Liberty or Give Me A New Government"

No man thinks more highly than I do of the patriotism, as well as ability, of the very worthy citizens who vote each election day.But different men often see the same subject under different lights;and, therefore,I hope it will not be thought disrespectful to those citizens, entertaining as I do opinions of a character very opposite to theirs,  I shall state my sentiments freely and without reserve.

The question before this nation is of vital importance to the future of our country.  For my part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery;  and in proportion to the magnitude of the subject ought to be the freedom of the debate.  It is only this way that we can hope to arrive at truth,  and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense,  I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country,  and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven,  which I revere above all earthly rulers.

My fellow Americans, it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope.  We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth,  and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts.  Is this the part of wise men,  engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty?  Are we disposed to be of the number of those who,having eyes,  see not, and,  having ears,  hear not, the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation?  For my part, what ever anguish of spirit it may cost,  I am willing to know the whole truth;  to know the worst, and to provide for it.

I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience. I know of no way of judging of the future but by the past.And judging by the past,I wish to know what there has been in the conduct of the Presidents and Congresses of the United States for the past forty years to justify those hopes which citizens have been pleased to solace themselves. Is it the insidious smile with which our petition has been lately received?In 1994 when a new group of legislators took office,I too saw hope that this our government would change its direction and return to its limited Constitutional role.

Trust it not, sir; it will prove a snare to your feet. Suffer not yourselves to be betrayed with a kiss. Ask yourselves how this gracious reception of our petition comports with those current preparations to enlarge government even more.With the 16th Amendment under their arm,tax and spend policies have become to ingrained in the hearts and minds of the career politicians; both Republican and Democrat.Their ability to tax us to the maximum and spread around what too many of us think of as a free government give away;translates into re-election for them; even if it leads to our countries ultimate destruction; they care not. The legislative class of 1994, as well intended as they are doesn't stand a chance against the Republican and Democratic tax and spend machines.

Let us not deceive ourselves, my fellow citizens. These Career politicians, both Republican and Democrat will not turn the situation back towards constitutional limited government. Shall we try more argument? We have been trying that for the last decade of years.

Have we anything new to offer upon the subject? Nothing. We have held the subject up to every light of which it is capable; but it has been in vain. Shall we resort to entreaty and humbly let them tax us into poverty; taking away all our inalienable rights. What terms shall we find which we have not already exhausted? Let us not, I beseech you, fellow citizens, deceive ourselves.

We have done everything that can be done within our two party structure to avert the storm which is coming on. We have petitioned; we have remonstrated; we have supplicated; we have prostrated ourselves before the congress, and have implored its interposition to arrest the tyrannical hands of their member. Our petitions have been slighted; our remonstrances have produced additional taxation and loss of liberty; our supplications have been disregarded; and we have been spurned, with contempt, from the president himself.

In vain, after these things, may we indulge the fond hope of successful return to constitutionally limited government. There is no longer any room to hope change will come through the two existing political parties.

If we wish to remain free -- if we mean to preserve in violate those inestimable privileges for which we have been so long contending -- if we mean not to abandon the noble struggle in which we have been so long engaged, and which we have pledged ourselves never to abandon until the glorious object of our contest shall be obtained -- we must switch our loyalty to a different form of leadership or fight.

We should try one more potentially peaceful solution; we must switch our loyalty to a Constitutionally Focussed Party. Unlike the Republican and Democratic Parties,they pledge to support no legislation that is contrary to the principles of their policy statement. I truly believe they will keep their word and given the chance; turn our country around. They deserve a chance.

My fellow Americans, if that doesn't happen,if enough of you don't recognize the problem we face; thenan appeal to arms and to the God of hosts is all that is left us! They tell us, my fellow citizens, that we are weak; unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be next week, or next year? Will it be after several more gun control laws are passed by the Democrats and Republicans in congress. Will it be after all guns are registered and then confiscated? Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a Republican or Democratic guard is stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength but irresolution and inaction?

Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot? My fellow citizens, we are not weak if we make proper use of those means which the God of nature has placed in our power. The millions of people, armed in the holy cause of liberty, and in such a country as that which we possess, are invincible by any force which our present government can send against us. Besides, my fellow Americans, we shall not fight our battles alone. There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations, and who certainly is not happy with the current direction of our county; abortion, prayer limitations, keeping religion out of government, support of immoral art, etc. The battle,my fellow Americans, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active,the brave.

Besides, my fellow Americans, if the election of new Constitution Focussed leaders does not solve our problem; I for one believe there is no retreat but submission and slavery! Our chains are forged! Their clanking may be heard from Boston to Los Angeles!

It is vain, my fellow Americans, to extenuate the matter. You may all try to deny we have the problem -- but there is no denying; if the Constitutional leaders don't get a chance to lead us out of this dilemma -- there will be no peace with liberty in tact.

We best not stand here idle; either vote for new leadership or store away the arms and munitions we will need to fight for our liberty should the Constitutional leaders  never be elected the chance to turn our country back on to its intended course.

I know not what course others may take when that day comes but as for me;give me liberty from Republican and Democratic party rule, or give me a new government.

Think About Our Current Situation With Open Mind!

Look into this picture and weep over it! And if there yet remains one thoughtless wretch who believes we would not be better off if we switched our allegiance to a Constitutionally Focussed Third Party, let him vote Republican or Democrat,it matters not which: let him suffer the consequences unlamented.

If we continue to support the two major parties who have taken us to where we are, I fear for our future.

Below is their call for support and their Statement of Principle.

I think they deserve our support.

I call on good Citizens

regardless of race,
the rich and the poor,
the strong and the weak,
from our smallest towns,
to our largest cities, all of us living in Pennsylvania and out of Pennsylvania

 change your party affiliation;

Become a member of a Constitutionally Focussed Third Party;

Become a principled candidate for Local office, for County office, or State office, for National office;

You don't want to become a candidate?

You can still help!

Work to help elect principled candidates;

Help pass out literature,

Help man polling places on election day,

Help by making phone calls,

Vote for Principled Constitutionally Focussed Third Candidates.

Constitutional
Statement of Principles

We recognize and affirm the God-given dignity of the individual and believe that the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States of America, and the Pennsylvania Declaration of Rights most clearly articulate this basic principle. To restore and preserve that fundamental human dignity, we proclaim:

That every individual has a paramount right to life from conception until natural death and the government shall not infringe upon that right.

That the right of citizens to keep and bear arms in defense of themselves and others shall not be questioned.

That the freedom to own, use, exchange, control, protect, and freely dispose of property and other assets is an inseparable extension of the individual's inalienable rights.

Thatthe primary unit of society is the family (persons related by blood, marriage, or adoption) and it must be accorded all rights and responsibilities to direct care of its members, particularly in the areas of education, health care, discipline, and the upbringing of children without government interference.

That the United States of America is a sovereign nation and therefore must maintain control over its own affairs.

That guided by Divine Providence, our Founding Fathers established this nation on Judeo-Christian principles and therefore the right to the free exercise of religious beliefs is inviolate.

That ourgovernment is one of limited, delegated powers operating as a republic within the confines of the Constitution of the United States of America. The federal government derives its authority from its sovereign citizens and it is to be their servant, not their master.
