The American Wisdom Series

Pamphlet #4223

My Note: End times temptation, the whole peoples  Ref. Scripture Revelation 3:10

"... I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, ..."

Please note: Our Lord is addressing this promise only to those folks who are aligned with the church of Philadelphia, not to the folks from the other six end times churches!

We know this is end time prophesy because it is taken from Revelations chapters 2 and 3 where Jesus Christ reveals to John and therefore, us,  the things which must shortly come to pass.  Shortly, keep in mind was not shortly after Jesus revealed it but, shortly after the yet future date of the vision John was taken in the spirit to see. A vision of the future day of the Lord's return.  A day which is fast approaching.  Read Rev. 1:10 and pamphlet #4006

Scripture:   Revelation 3:10  Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Complete text:  Revelation 3:7  ¶And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
8  I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
9  Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
10  Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
11  Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
12  Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
13  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

 What temptation is He talking about?
Our being tempted to believe and follow the false-christ when he comes to earth claiming that he is Christ.

Scripture:  2 Thessalonians 2:1  ¶Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2  That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3  ¶Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

This would be Satan, the spurious messiah, coming to earth first, before Christ's return, and convincing most people that he is God which is why Jesus said, "those who endure until the end shall be saved"; not the ones who believe Satan's lie and he takes first in the field.
