Pamphlet #4400

This "treasure hid in a field" is not a reference to the people we call Jews today.

My Hi-lite:   Matthew 13:44  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

This "treasure hid in a field" is a reference to the descendants of the tribes of Israelies who were taken captive and driven by the Assyrians into the Caucasus region between the Black and Caspian Seas from 745-721 B.C. The people we call Jews today were not part of that group. The Jews that now live, mostly in the middle east in the little nation we call Israel, some of which are scattered into various countries around the world, are of the Israelites who formerly lived in Judah and were taken to Babylon during the conquering of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzor in 586BC, 135 years after the Israelites from the "House of Israel" along with many from the "House of Judah" were captured by their Assyrian conquerors and later lost their identity as being God's people!

Also see: Hosea 8:8  Israel is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure. 9 For they are gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers.

This can not refer to The Jews that live in the middle east because they were never gone to Assyria.

Ezekiel 34:11  For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.
12 As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.

This can not refer to the Jews that live in the middle east because, even though some are scattered, it is common knowledge as to who they are; therefore no need for the Lord to seek them out, as in ever being lost.
