The world's sin is unbelief in me;John 16:9 Living Bible

What did Jesus mean by that?

If you stay in me and obey my commands,
you may ask any request you like,
and it will be granted! John 15:7 Living Bible

John 14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

You can ask me for anything, using my name,
and I will do it, for this will bring praise to the Father because of what I, the Son,
will do for you. ohn 14:13 Living Bible
Yes, ask anything, using my name,
and I will do it! John 14:14 Living Bible

Do you really truly believe Christ will do all of the above if you just ask?

[13] And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

I ask again, "What did Jesus mean by that?"

John 15:
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
What will a person who is attached to the Vine and filled with the Holy Spirit, the words which have flowed from the Vine, even the wisdom of Almighty God, ask for? A new BMW? Hardly! They will seek more wisdom and understanding and that which is necessary to bring forth MORE FRUIT!
Why?

Because you see, the more nutrients you receive from the Vine,
the more you become like Him and the more His will becomes your will,
for He is "in you"
.

Shall we say, "Like Father, like son", or "daughter" too!

And the more fruit you bear, the more the Father is glorified, and so the more He showers His love and blessings on you. Do you not do the same for your children when they love you and do good things to please you?  And you know how good it feels to give them a new toy or reward and watch the smile on their little faces, as they look up and put their arms around your neck and squeeze you and hug you and say "thank you mommy", or "thank you daddy". It doesn't get any better than that! Our Father loves His children and He loves to bless them too!

So understand, you won't have to ask for a BMW, because He will add "things" unto you, after you have first sought the kingdom of God Mat. 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you..

John 15:8
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples

John 14:14 "If ye shall ask any thing in My name, I will do it.
If you ask something in and from your heart you will be surprised just how many miracles can come to pass. Do you believe with all your heart and mind when you make a commitment? And from those prayers, are you willing to use those gifts in the glory of God's work? You must come to the understanding then that anything you have is a gift from God, and that includes your family, your friends, your job, and your wealth that He has allowed you to have and use for Him. Have you thanked Him for them? When you give God the glory for those gifts you will see how He will bless you. Many people just don't understand what it means when Jesus said, "in My name", for they don't understand that "I and the Father are one", and the Father gets all the Glory. Next time you make a request, search your heart to see who's glory you are trying to fill; yours or God's. There is a condition to loving God.
John 14:15 "If ye love Me, keep My commandments."

Yes, Great and Marvelous are His works!! Do you want to be a part of that great and marvelous work? For any of His works that you ask in His name He will do,

 If ye abide in Him

If you can't, beyond a shadow of a doubt, answer yes
you must question if you are a true believer in Jesus!

I am the one who raises the dead and gives them life again.
Anyone who believes in me,
even though he dies like anyone else,
shall live again.
He is given eternal life for believing in me and shall never perish.

Do you believe this?

Jesus said,
If anyone is thirsty,
let him come to me and drink.
For the Scriptures declare that rivers of living water shall flow from the inmost being of anyone who believes in me."

( John says, "He was speaking of the Holy Spirit,
who would be given to everyone believing in him;
but the Spirit had not yet been given,
because Jesus had not yet returned to his glory in heaven.)"

How earnestly I tell you this---anyone who believes in me already has eternal life!
Yes, I am the Bread of Life!
With all the earnestness I possess I tell you this:
Unless you eat the flesh of the Messiah and drink his blood,
you cannot have eternal life within you.

And the Scriptures point to me!
Yet you won't come to me so that I can give you this life eternal!

You shouldn't be so concerned about perishable things like food.
No,
spend your energy seeking the eternal life that I,
the Messiah,
can give you.

For God the Father has sent me for this very purpose.

The true Bread is a Person---
the one sent by God from heaven,
and he gives life to the world.
I am the Bread of Life

Jesus said, "I am the Messiah!"

I say emphatically that anyone who listens to my message and believes in God who sent me has eternal life,
and will never be damned for his sins,
but has already passed out of death into life.

You search the Scriptures,
for you believe they give you eternal life.

And the Scriptures point to me!
Yet you won't come to me so that I can give you this life eternal!

You shouldn't be so concerned about perishable things like food.
No,
spend your energy seeking the eternal life that I,
the Messiah,
can give you.

John wrote, And all who trust him---God's Son---to save them have eternal life.

Again we ask, do you believe this next statement?

Yes, ask anything, using my name,
and I will do it! John 14:14 Living Bible

 If ye abide in Him

John 14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
He went to the Father and sent His Spirit which, as Peter declared when he quoted JO-EL, shall be poured out (even is poured out) upon His servants and His handmaids in this final generation! We will read more about that POURING RAIN, i.e. pouring out of His Spirit, next!
[13] And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

The subject Jesus Christ is addressing is "the works" of those that believe on Him and who seek to serve Him, in His name, i.e. according to His Word "that Yahveh may be glorified in Yeshua". If you are one who believes in Him after this manner, then He will breathe the breath of eternal life in you (His son or daughter and NOW His servant or His handmaiden) and THROUGH YOU His Trumpet of Grace with the accompanying Warning that the 6th Trumpet is about* to sound will be heard Blowing! (*Or has sounded, i.e. at the time of the delivering up before the false-christ.) Yes, Great and Marvelous are His works!! Do you want to be a part of that great and marvelous work? For any of His works that you ask in His name He will do.

[14] If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
 If ye abide in Him
Do you know that name, which means do you know that God?

Let us now turn to JO-EL and see what the result is of that rain which comes down to you, His servant or handmaiden (Joel 2:23):

Joel 2:23  Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
24  And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil.
25  And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
26  And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.
27  And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
28  ķAnd it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29  And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
30  And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
31  The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
32  And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

Do you really truly believe Christ will do anything, if you just ask using his name?

If you can't, beyond a shadow of a doubt, answer yes
you must question if you are really a true believer in Jesus!

Do you really believe all of the above things which you claim to believe?

Jesus said, "It's not where we worship that counts, but how we worship

---is our worship spiritual and real?
Do we have the Holy Spirit's help?

For God is Spirit, and we must have his help to worship as we should.

"As Moses in the Wilderness
lifted up the bronze image of a serpent on a pole,
even so I must be lifted up upon a pole,
so that anyone who believes in me will have eternal life".
Note: Read Numbers 21:8-9

"There is no eternal doom awaiting those who trust him to save them.
But those who don't trust him have already been tried and condemned
for not believing in the only Son of God.

Their sentence is based on this fact:
that the Light from heaven came into the world,
but they loved the darkness more than the Light, for their deeds were evil.
They hated the heavenly Light because they wanted to sin in the darkness.
They stayed away from that Light for fear their sins would be exposed and they would be punished.
But those doing right come gladly to the Light to let everyone see that they are doing what God wants them to."

John wrote

Before anything else existed, there was Christ with God.
He has always been alive and is himself God.
He created everything there is---nothing exists that he didn't make.
Eternal life is in him, and this life gives light to all mankind.
His life is the light that shines through the darkness---and the darkness can never extinguish it.

But although he made the world, the world didn't recognize him when he came.

All they needed to do was to trust him to save them.
All those who believe this are reborn!
---not a physical rebirth resulting from human passion or plan---
but from the will of God.

And Christ became a human being and lived here on earth among us
and was full of loving forgiveness and truth.
And some of us have seen his glory---the glory of the only Son of the heavenly Father.

John the Baptist said, "Look! There is the Lamb of God who takes away the world's sin!
He is the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.
I saw it happen to this man, and I therefore testify that he is the Son of God."

Isn't it time you really believe this!

Yes, ask anything, using my name,
and I will do it!John 14:14 Living Bible

 If ye abide in Him

John 14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

If you don't whole heartily believe he will do anything you ask, If ye abide in Him you must then question whether or not your faith in Jesus is for real!

To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits; to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you accomplish both.
1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them {the ancient Israelites} for ensamples, and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
