Jeremiah 6:13  For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
14  They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

Yes, it was so in Jeremiah's day. It's also so today.
Just replace the word priest with Christian minister.
And replace the word peace with grace.

False Prophets and Negligent Healers
Part 3

Disclaimer: The following Bible Study may be offensive to tender ears, to those Christians who just can't imagine that anyone who calls himself or herself a minister or preacher of Jesus Christ, would knowingly mislead anyone for money, power or ego, i.e. for personal gain. They all seem like such nice people. Yet, anyone with an ounce of common sense who turns on Sunday morning TV and surfs the airwaves would have to conclude that for the most part one has to be "stupid" to follow some of these prancing showmen who openly claim that God speaks to them directly and gives them exclusive "words of knowledge" that other lesser sheep in the audience aren't privileged to hear.

Are we as Christians supposed to just accept someone who claims to represent Christ? Oh contraire, my friend! Jesus Himself warned us, in this final generation, to be careful and take heed. Matthew 24:4-5: "And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. [5] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many." Do you think He was just kidding? Then they are out there in full force, many of them, aren't they?

You see, it is really easy for dynamic personalities to "deceive many" in these end times with such powerful tools of communication as worldwide Radio and Television Broadcasts emanating from satellites encircling the earth 23,000 miles up in space. The fact that the technology is available to spread mass deception is itself a "sign" of the season just preceding the return of Jesus Christ. It all became possible during the generation of the fig tree, i.e. the Baby Boomer generation.

However, the Word of God gives us explicit instructions as to how we are to handle preachers, teachers, ministers, pastors, evangelists and televangelists. TRY THEM, by checking them out in the scriptures to see whether or not they are OF GOD!  Do it just like the Bereans did in Acts 17:11 after they listened to the Apostle Paul. Here's how they checked him out: "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Do not believe anyone, even this pastor, until you have checked their teachings against the scriptures.

1 John 4:1
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
A false prophet means a "pretended foreteller". That can certainly be one who pretends that God foretold him or her that someone out there in TV land has a hernia, and God is healing him RIGHT NOW!
pseudoprophetes, psyoo-dop-rof-ay'-tace, Greek 5578; from Greek 5571 (pseudes) and Greek 4396 (prophetes); a spurious prophet, i.e. pretended foreteller or religious impostor :- false prophet.
Christianity has been greatly damaged and subjected to much scoffing and ridicule by the non-believer, who perhaps could be converted if he or she heard the Word of God taught intelligently line by line, in context, instead of seeing goof-balls tell them to place their hands on their TV monitor and receive a miraculous healing. If one is willing to follow such a command, surely they can be inspired to call an 800 # where operators are standing by with their Visa machines. It is shameful and a sham and here is what our Father thinks about it and wants His watchmen to say about it:
Ezekiel 13:1
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

[2] Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD;

This message is for our generation, as verse 5 will document. The prophets of Israel are the Christian ministers of the so-called lost tribes of Israel, who migrated over the Caucasus Mountains (thus they are called Caucasians) and settled in Europe, Britain and later to the Americas. (Again, if you don't know the heritage of the Anglo-Saxon race, If you haven't read the booklets "The Abrahamic Covenant", by E. Raymond Capt, or perhaps "The Scottish Declaration of Independence", by Capt, go unline and order a copy of each from Artisan Publishers.

So that we get a more up-to-date PICTURE of what verse 2 said, here are verses 1 & 2 quoted from the Living Bible:

Ezekiel 13:1-2
Son of dust, prophesy against the false prophets of Israel who are inventing their own visions and claiming to have messages from me when I have never told them anything at all. Woe unto them! (Living Bible)
That right! Our Father says these clowns are MAKING IT ALL UP! Their visions come from their own minds. And the watchmen in this generation are to teach against their phoniness by teaching the people, "Thus saith the Lord GOD", in the 13th chapter of Ezekiel.

Don't misunderstand, God does talk to people on occasions, but He does not show up on stage and whisper a list of physical ailments into the minds of holier-than-thou religious leaders.

Ezekiel 13:3
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!
Do you know why it is "WOE" unto the foolish prophets who make up this stuff? It is because the ultimate penalty for leading God's children astray, according to the law of God, is "Death". That is the penalty Satan received for leading 1/3 of God's children astray (Rev. 12), and that is the penalty for anyone else who does the same thing. This teacher made the statement, now it is your Christian duty to check it out in God's Word and see whether or not it is so, and you can do that easily by reading Deut. 13:1-5.
[4] O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.
Foxes are sly and cunning. These guys and dolls are very crafty in obtaining gain in this spiritual desert where meat from our Father's table is scarcely served (Amos 8:11). Great music, fancy cathedrals, membership in the club, and they all say that Jesus is Lord, yep, He is the Savior. But what about teaching the Word of God? What about preparing our people in this final generation for the siege and spiritual onslaught of the soon coming king of Babylon, the desolator, the antichrist, who is Satan appearing as the Messiah, BEFORE Jesus Christ returns (2 Thes. 2)? We read in the previous studies that it doesn't matter what anyone thinks, IT SHALL HAPPEN AS IT IS WRITTEN.
Ezekiel 13:5
Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.
The battle is coming, yet these dreamers and soothsayers have NOT built up a wall of protection for our people to STAND in the battle! They are to instruct the people as we have been instructed by the apostle Paul, to put on the Gospel Armor and be prepared to take a STAND against the fiery darts of Satan.
Ephes. 6:13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

[14] Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

[15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

[16] Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

[17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Have you heard any of these God-talks-to-me-everyday pretenders say, "If you are saved, then you are in great shape, because you won't have to go through the great tribulation, because Jesus is coming back for His church, to take them away in the Rapture of the Saints?" Yes, many of them actually believe this will happen, but the problem is they have set themselves up as the spiritual leaders of our people, which is the most important position that there is, for it carries the greatest responsibility that there is, which is the fate of the souls of the children of Almighty God. Do you think He isn't aware of what you are doing?

And that "any moment you'll be taken away theory" is a Big Fat Lie (BFL)! We Christians are supposed to take a STAND! That vain vision of flying away, now called the Rapture Theory, was SEEN by a mentally ill lady by the name of Margaret MacDonald in the year 1830 in Glasgow, Scotland. It is nothing more than an easier, softer way! It is "easy religion" and it sells really well, doesn't it? But it is not documented in God's Word and you can check out its origin in church history!

So did God send all of these preachers who claim they receive these frivolous, empty messages from God?

Ezekiel 13:6
They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.

[7] Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it; albeit I have not spoken?

"Instead you have lied when you said, 'My message is from God!' God did not send you. And yet you expect him to fulfill your prophecies. Can you deny that you have claimed to see 'visions' you never saw, and that you have said, 'This message is from God,' when I never spoke to you at all?" (Living Bible)
Ezekiel 13:8
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord GOD.
When Almighty God is against you, you have a real big problem!
[9]And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
They are NOT going to make it to the Promised Land, and they will NOT be part of the First Resurrection. Why?
[10] Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:
They have deceived God's people by saying, "You are safe and secure, you will not come under siege", and that is not His plan at all. Haven't they read Ezekiel? He's sending the king of Babylon. So one pretender puts up a "flimsy wall", a doctrine of false hope that will not stand, and all the others perpetuate it and cover it with "whitewash".

God wants His watchmen to say something to those whitewashing fools:

Ezekiel 13:11
Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.
Tell them their wall is COMING DOWN! When the storm hits, all that whitewash will go straight down the drain to hell.
[12] Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?
I sure wouldn't want to be the preacher who has to answer that question to our Father.
[13] Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.
Do you understand this "Thus saith the Lord GOD" verse?  Let's paraphrase it: "He's coming after you!"
Ezekiel 13:14
So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered morter, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
Did you read the part where they shall be "consumed" in the midst thereof?  Here's the complete definition of "consumed" from Strong's Concordance:
kalah, kaw-law', Hebrew 3615; a primitive root; to end, whether intransitive (to cease, be finished, perish) or transitive (to complete, prepare, consume) :- accomplish, cease, consume (away), determine, destroy (utterly), be (when...were) done, (be an) end (of), expire, (cause to) fail, faint, finish, fulfil, fully, have, leave (off), long, bring to pass, wholly reap, make clean riddance, spend, quite take away, waste.
God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, and Deut. 13 stands.
[15] Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered morter, and will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;

[16] To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord GOD.

When the Lord GOD is finished with them, their flimsy wall will be GONE, and so will they!

Thus saith the Lord GOD!

If there is one thing that we Christians need to understand, it is that "Christianity" is the cloak under which Satan spreads his lies and abominations. Names and titles can be misleading, even very deceiving. For instance, many people believe that the Federal Reserve Bank is part of the Federal Government because it bears the name "Federal", but it is a privately owned corporation and is NOT part of our government.

Likewise, we have learned that there are many religious leaders who preach, teach, heal, and prophesy using the name of Jesus Christ, who Himself prophesied they would come in His name and so do! "But take heed", Jesus said, "that they don't deceive YOU", for they will and have deceived the masses, for they are false prophets, false teachers indeed! What constitutes a false teacher? Someone who teaches theories of men and the traditions of men and not the Word of God.

Oh, they use the Bible. They quote a verse here and a verse there and make it APPEAR as if it says something it does not say. Anyone can do that! E. W. Bullinger, in his book "How to Enjoy the Bible" discusses two of the most common techniques employed to twist scripture. The first is called "Text Mangling" where you simply pull scriptures out of context. Here are some examples:

“There is no God” (Ps. 14:1)

“Hang all the law and the prophets.” (Mat. 22:40)

And then there is "Text Garbling" where one can really formulate creative doctrine by combining "out of context' scriptures into a logical story flow:
"And David comforted Bath-sheba his wife,

and went in unto her." (2 Sam. 12:24)
“Go and do thou likewise.” (Luke 10:37)
"And.. that thou doest, do quickly." (John 13:27)

Another famous trick of Satan is to take that which is described in figurative language and teach the figurative as literal, instead of the truth conveyed by it, like making the Serpent in Genesis to be an upright snake, a literal serpent, instead of the beautiful archangel once called Lucifer. Anyone who reads the entire Bible will discover and learn who the serpent is, for it is spelled out clearly in Rev. 12:9; "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."
The point is, as we just read in Rev. 9, that Satan is soon to be cast to this earth and will APPEAR as Jesus Christ, and he will be accepted and worshipped as the Messiah by the majority of mankind. So if Satan calls Himself Christ, is it any wonder then that his ministers call themselves "Christian"?  Are you expecting one of them to come out and say, "I'm a false prophet!"? Jesus said there would MANY of them, i.e. many Christian Ministers, who will mislead MANY!
Paul said the same thing regarding Satan's ministers appearing as the good guys in 2 Cor.:
2 Cor. 11:13

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

The word "transformed" means "to disguise" or to "appear as".
[14] And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Jesus Christ is the Light (Jn. 1:9) and Satan will "appear as" that Light, i.e. as the Messiah.
[15] Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
His ministers "appear as" Christian ministers, ministers of righteousness. It is by their works, i.e. by what they teach, that one can easily determine their authenticity. The following concluding verses in chapter 13 of Ezekiel will serve as an example.
In verse 5 of this chapter we learned that those who are busy trying to impress people by running around claiming God speaks to them, have FAILED to made an hedge about the people, i.e. fortify God's children through the knowledge of His Word to prepare them to be able to take a STAND during the soon coming siege and battle by the king of Babylon, antichrist! Instead, many of them teach that the saved Christians won't even be here for the battle, for they will be GONE! They shall be taken into the clouds, and will fly away to safety. My, how people love to hear that and rejoice. In fact, a recently produced Hollywood style movie called "Vanished" has now sold in excess of 14,000,000 copies. As it is written, "many shall be deceived".
Note: If you would like more information on the Rapture Theory,  log unto "The Rapture Theory" right here or from the Table of Contents to the left of your screen.
It is true that no man knows the exact hour or day when Jesus Christ WILL return. But you know what? His watchmen know when He ISN'T returning. He isn't returning tonight and He isn't returning tomorrow! For as it is written, He isn't returning until the son of perdition, Satan, comes and sits in the temple claiming to be the Messiah. That happens FIRST and it hasn't happen yet. Here is incontrovertible documentation.
2 Thes. 2:1
Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
The subject is our gathering back to Christ at His coming.
[2] That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
Do be worried or wondering about when we gather back to Christ. There is a major event that must take place FIRST!
[3] Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Don't be deceived by how big their ministry is and how religious and righteous they look or how many times they call themselves good Christians or their ability to babble unintelligible syllables while walking around the stage or their apparent receiving of special words of knowledge, etc., etc., etc. When the son of perdition, Satan is revealed in his glory [he is a beautiful supernatural archangel (Ezek. 28)], there will be the greatest apostasy, falling away, in the history of mankind, as the world and most Christians flock to worship him as Jesus. Thank you Rapture Theory!
[4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Christ is not returning until the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet stands in Jerusalem claiming to be Christ. Now you can either believe someone who tells you he or she might "vanish" at any moment or you can believe the Word of God as simply put forth by the apostle Paul. The choice is yours.

Let's read what our Father has to say about this "fly away" doctrine called the any-moment Rapture Theory.

Ezekiel 13:17
Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,
I know it isn't popular and it may sound like "bashing" to some ears, but God said to His watchman to set their faces against the "daughters of your people" and "teach against" false prophets and false doctrines, and those who prophesy out of their own hearts [minds] instead of out of the Word of God. After all, it is a matter of eternal life or death, isn't it?

Note: The word "daughters" is actually "ben" in Hebrew, which means "son of", like Ben-Hur, which means son of Hur. Also, you will find the word "women" in the next verse to be in italics in the King James Bible, because it is not in the original text. The point is that there is no gender implied in the analogy. We are talking about all those who cover-up God's truth and use other crafty means to ensnare God's children.

Here is what God wants Ezekiel to say to them:

[18] And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?
If you have a Companion Bible, it will explain the terminology used in this verse. It simply means WOE to those who conceal God's outstretched saving arms with "cover-ups", false doctrines and devices used to market their religion, i.e. to "hunt for souls [people] to save" and fill the auditoriums.
[19] And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?
Would they pollute God's Word and teach out of their own hearts for MONEY? You bet your sweet collection plate many of them would, and they do! Do you think there are no "hirelings" in Churchianity? Then read John 10:12-13.

Many Christian ministers do "slay the souls", cause the spiritual death, of those who should be fed the truth of His Word, by "setting them up" to fall before antichrist. They also give false hope to others, by LYING to their congregations, to God's people that hear their LIES! Though some of them truly believe the Rapture Theory is Biblical, it is nevertheless a LIE, and God doesn't like it, neither do His watchmen.

Ezekiel 13:20
Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.
The word "fly" is "parach", Strong's # 6524, and it means, among other things, specifically to fly (as extending the wings). It also means to escape. If you have been studying this Book of Ezekiel with us then you know that there will be no escape, no flying away, when the king of Babylon comes. God's watchmen will be here, though they will be on the protective side of the Iron Pan (chptr. 4:3), but they will still be here. Rev. 9:4 documents that when Satan and his army are here, they may "sting" [not kill] "only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads."
[21] Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
Their cover-ups are going to be torn down and God will put an end to their recruiting methods. And they will get to know the LORD real good for a change! He has a way to deal with liars.
Ezekiel 13:22
Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:
This verse says is all. The fly away "Rapture Theory", the Big Lie of the modern Christian era, saddens our righteous Father and even His watchmen. These liars, though some are unknowingly liars, promise the people a quick trip out of here, an easy ride to the kingdom free of tribulation, and consequently some teach there's really no need to study the Book of Revelation. WOE unto them!
[23] Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
God is going to put a stop to it real soon. Meanwhile, "take heed", as Jesus instructed, and let no man deceive you! Study His Word, not man's theories.

Our Father loves His children very much. Let's do as He says and love Him back!
