Hebrews Chapter 10

Caution to students of God's Word - Please remember two things when using our studies: #1. Our commentary is not God's Word. It is only our interpretation or understanding of "His Word" and even though we try our best to be accurate we may or may not be correct. #2. The King James translation, or any other translation, of the original Hebrew text has some words which were given different translations at different places probably because of the interpreters preconceived ideas of what they think God meant to say. For example: According to the notes in the "Dake's Annotated Reference Bible" the Hebrew word hayah in the KJV is Trans. (became) 67 times, (becamest or came to pass) 505 times, (become) 66 times, and (come to pass) 131 times, but for some reason in Genesis 1:2 it is translated (was)! That sure changes the way a person perceives the original creation of the earth, doesn't it?  Gen. 1:2 And the earth was (became) without form, ... Having said that, let us continue with our "Key Knowledge" lessons. These are pamphlets containing knowledge, we believe, you must have to fully and accurately unlock and understand the Word of God.

John 15:26
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

John 16:13-14
[13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. [14] He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

HEBREWS

Chapter 10

"The Offerings."

Hebrews 10:1 "For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually, make the comers thereunto perfect."

The law was not bad, but it was a shadow of that heavenly law that would come. Even though there is sin in flesh, when you believe in Jesus Christ and have repented of your sins, then even the flesh can become perfect. Under the blood sacrifices of the Old Law, God required a annual purging through animal sacrifice on the altar by the priest, however under the New Covenant this sacrifice was done once and for all times. Now when man in the flesh does fall short, there is no need of being saved all over again, but God requires your repentance of that sin, and at repentance the guilt of that sin is blotted out instantly. It is the blood of Christ that makes you perfect when you repent to the Father. Your accepting the blood of Christ, praying "In Jesus Name" becomes your credentials before the throne of God.

Many Christians today are being robbed of their spiritual blessings by not being taught "repentance, or remission of sins". When they keep hearing "once saved, you never sin again", they miss the boat, for "repentance" is what our freedom in Christ is all about. We are still only in that shadow of the perfection, yet to come.

Our flesh bodies were made in the image of God and us, His angels (His originally created children), which are the "Elohim" in the Hebrew tongue. We look the same as those angels, but there is just one problem, we are now placed in our in these flesh and blood bodies during this 2nd earth age. We desire the same food as the angels, as both the manna and earthly food will sustain both bodies, and the same urges exist as we read of in Genesis 6:1-8, where the sons of God [the fallen angels who left their first estate, coming to earth, out of turn, without first waiting our turn to be born in the flesh of women] saw the daughters of men and took them to wife.

There is a better time coming for almost all of us, to bring us to perfection, and that time is at the return of Jesus Christ, except for those fallen angels who came to earth out of turn and impregnated flesh and blood women. They have already been sentenced to die the second death (the end of their soul in the lake of fire along with Satan). At Jesus Christ's return all flesh is discarded [changed], and we who are still alive in the flesh will receive our incorruptible spiritual (celestial bodies), like the angels have. The only way the flesh body can become perfect, is when you repent of your sins as they happen, and that releases you from the guilt of sin. It is the freedom that we have in Christ.

Hebrews 10:2 "For then would they not have ceased to be offered, because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins?"

The "conscience of sins" is what is called "a guilt trip" today. Because of the guilt trips that people have, the doctor's offices are filled to capacity, because of the stresses that their conscience produces. Psychiatrists and Psychologists have built an entire industry over treating peoples "conscience of sins", which is ones "guilt for sin". The problem with modern psychology is that this system does not see sin as sin, but they have attached their own concepts to sin. They have redefined sins to something that can be handled by men's minds. They have shifted the blame so their patients can blame their parents, the schools, their neighborhoods, and any other thing that can be twisted. Sure they focus on the actions that are done, but the guilt for those evil acts are placed on someone else.

I find it very interesting that when reading through the twelve things that Buddha wrote about controlling the mind, These methods are identical to modern day "psychology". So when these doctors tell their patients that their methods are new, they are new to a Christian society, However those concepts of shifting the blame for sin are very old in the Heathen world of Buddhism.

As animal's blood was offered for sins over and over, year by year, those sins committed before the cross of Christ were still not released. However, they were a shadow of the event that is perfect when it is accomplished, which is repentance. This is to say that we are to repent again and again, every time you fall short of God's Word while you are living in the flesh. This becomes a daily responsibility that we have as a Christian. If a pastor in his teaching removes the fact that each Christian will have to repent each time there is a sin, he robs that person of the reality of Christianity. The perfect price has been paid, and thank God He made that perfect price for us, whereby we have that opportunity to repent again and again, when ever we fall. Repentance is based on the individual, as to just how often his repentance is required.

Many today teach that once you are saved and become baptized that you will not sin again. Then they place on these young Christians a host of dos and don'ts, but the first time the young Christian comes into a temptation and falls to that temptation, they tell that new Christian their salvation did not take, and that is a lie. Ignorance to repentance can cause all sorts of problems within a Christian's life, when they are taught that baptism frees them from all sin, and that the worldly temptations will not come their way. Then when it does, they blame themselves, and their guilt takes over. This happens because of their lack of proper instruction, and knowledge of the creation of God, and in understanding mankind. Living in the flesh body brings about sin, but repentance covers that guilt that is committed. You don't need to be re saved, you just need to ask forgiveness for that particular sin.

Hebrews 10:3 "But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year."

This is saying that just as the requirement of blood sacrifices were required year after year, so also is repentance for sins under the New Covenant required when ever you fall short.

Hebrews 10:4 "For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins."

It was never possible for the blood of any animal to take away sin, but it was a temporary covering for that year. The reason for the inability of the blood of animals to cover sin, is the fact the Holy Spirit was not brought from the blood of any animal. For it is the Holy Spirit who teaches, guides and comforts us in our daily lives. That Holy Spirit is the One who stands between you and your enemies.

It is good to have a conscience, for our conscience allows us to see when we fall short of God's law. When you break any law you fall short of the whole law. The law is good, but it is the man that is the sinner.

Hebrews 10:5 "Wherefore when He cometh into the world, He saith, "Sacrifice and offering Thou wouldest not, but a body hast Thou prepared Me:"

"Thou prepared Me" by opening my ears to hear the Word and understand the truths therein. This is taken from Psalm 40:6-8: and notice that in Hebrews where Paul left out, "..Mine ears hast Thou opened..". Verse five sets the platform for the rest of the verses.

Psalm 40:5 "Many, O Lord my God, are Thy wonderful works which Thou hast done, And Thy thoughts which are to us-ward: They cannot be reckoned up in order unto Thee: If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered."

God works and His thinking of us is the Word of God, and those thoughts and deeds by God are more than can be numbered.

Psalm 40: 6 "Sacrifice and offering Thou didst not desire; Mine ears hast Thou opened: Burnt offering and sin offering hast Thou not required"

This is the verse that Paul quoted from, but he left the one part out. Paul didn't quote this part, because in the time of David's writing, their ears were not opened yet, because the Holy Spirit had not yet been sent, and Christ had not come yet. Paul ears and his eyes were opened to all the truth but theirs were not. God does not want your burnt offerings, but He wants your love.

Psalm 40:7 "Then said I, "Lo, I come: In the volume of the book it is written of me,"

From cover to cover, the entire Word of God reflects the coming of the promised Messiah, Jesus Christ. Whatever you need to know about Christ is written within these pages. Our Heavenly Father hid nothing from those that want to study His book, and know all there is to know about the Messiah Jesus Christ. If you don't have Christ's thoughts and instruction through His Word, then how are you going to know what is required to please Him?

Psalm 40:8 "I delight to do Thy will, O my God: Yea, Thy law is within my heart."

Psalm 40:9 "I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: Lo, I have not refrained my lips, O Lord, Thou knowest."

Psalm 40:10 "I have not hid Thy righteousness within my Heart; I have declared Thy faithfulness and Thy salvation:"

Psalm 40:11 "Withhold not Thou Thy tender mercies from me, O Lord: Let Thy loving kindness and Thy truth continually preserve me."

Hebrews 10:6 "In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin Thou hast had no pleasure."

Burning an animal on an altar could please no one, but it was a shadow of something that would come later. It was a type that would happen when Christ willfully was sent to the cross to die. When they would put their animal on the altar, it meant that they had to take their best animal, and through their sacrifice it became a contribution to the Father.

Hebrews 10:7 "Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of Me) to do Thy will, O God."

Everything that Jesus did and said while on earth, was written in the Old Testament, and that why He said over and over, "Haven't you read...", "It is written...", and so on. Every detail was written about Jesus' coming, how His birth would be and where. All parts of His life, and even to the words that the High Priest who caused His death at the time of the crucifixion, would say. How can you not believe in Christ when God so perfectly outlined the coming Messiah who He would send.

Hebrews 10:8 "Above when He said, "Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin Thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein;" which are offered by the law;"

Paul was quoting, as we read from Psalm 40:6-8. What our Lord is saying in that fortieth Psalm is; "I don't want your animals and your sacrifices, but I want your love."

Hebrews 10:9 "Then said He, "Lo, I come to do Thy will, O God," He taketh away the first, that He may establish the second."

God did take away the first [the blood sacrifices and ordinances] when His Son went to the cross. With the death of Christ on the cross the establishment of the second was completed. He took those blood sacrifices and ordinances away because the blood of Christ paid the price for one and all times. God did not take away the law, but the blood sacrifices and those things that were required under those ordinances. No blood sacrifice can then be sent by Holy Spirit, for it is dead and gone. But at Christ death, the Holy Spirit did come and it warms the heart of everyone that He touches.

Hebrews 10:10 "By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all."

The blood of animals did not sanctify or make perfect anyone. But the blood of Christ, through our repentance removes all sins from us, and makes us perfect in the eyes of our Heavenly Father. We are sanctified through the Spirit of the One that was sacrificed on the cross.

Hebrews 10:11 "And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:"

Regardless how many times those priests stood at that altar, and presented their offerings and sacrifices, it just did not get the job done. Sin remained, and was covered over for only that one year. However after Jesus was sacrificed and the Holy Spirit came, His Spirit can make you a better person when you learn to listen to Him through the Word.

Hebrews 10:12 "But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God."

"This Man" was Jesus that took away that obligation to of annually killing of a sacrifice to God.

Hebrews 10:13 "From henceforth expecting till His enemies be made His footstool."

This verse is the seventh time that Psalm 110:1 has been quoted in Hebrews. Seven in Biblical numerics stands for "completion or perfection". When His enemies are made His footstool, as is written in Psalm 110:1, then this earth age is over and complete.

Psalm 110:1 "The Lord said unto my Lord, "sit Thou at My right hand, Until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool."

Hebrews 10:14 "For by one offering He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified."

Through Christ's one time offering all those that believe and repented are sanctified. When you repent, you are clean and perfect for that moment, but as long as your are in the flesh you will continue to fall short, and that is why you must continue to repent as you sin. Each time you repent there is a renewed cleansing. Under the old sacrifices by the priests, there was never a cleansing within that soul, but a covering until the cleansing could take place. That time was when Christ died, and went to that prison where those souls were kept, and He preached to them, and many believed and were saved. In this life, after salvation, you must repent each time you fall short if you wish to stay in the will of our Father. This is not giving anyone the right to sin of their own free will.

Hebrews 10:15 "Whereof the Holy Spirit also is a witness to us: for after that He had said before,"

Hebrews 10:16 "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord; I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;"

Paul is speaking of the Millennium age kingdom here, when all souls will be in their celestial bodies. Jesus is saying that when He returns, [the days spoken of here are the days after the seventh trump sounds and He has returned], Then Christ will place in the hearts or minds of every soul His laws. The rest of this chapter ten relates to that time period when all souls will be living in their incorruptible bodies. You are not going to have to ask your neighbor, "Do you know the Lord", for every soul in that Millennium age will know Christ, and understand his ways as sure as your drinking a glass of water. It will be something that is natural to them. It has not come to pass yet, but it shall after Satan has come to reign in his role as the Antichrist. The time of the great deception, tribulation must come first. It will be on the first day of the Millennium age when every knee bows to Jesus. The purpose of the thousand year Millennium age is not to teach the Word of God, but to teach discipline and obedience in the Word.

Hebrews 10:17 "And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more."

This is the beauty of repentance even now for those that are of God's elect. Many times Christians get on their guilt trips over sins that have been repented of, and that is a sin within it self. The guilt trip is the act of limiting God and questioning the sacrifice that Christ gave on the cross. If you hang on to that forgiven sin, then God will throw it right back into your face, so forget it, and throw it out of your life.

Paul then is stating that in the Millennium age the sins of this flesh age will be gone, but the salvation of those saved out of the millennium age will come then by their works only. There will be no salvation by faith for Christ is with us in the Millennium, and "faith is taking something unseen, and believing it to be true." You will know it is true, for your mind will contain the truth and you eyes will see Christ personally. That is why, after the Millennium, your works of discipline and obedience will either cause your salvation, or condemn your soul.

Hebrews 10:18 "Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin."

When there is no more remembrance of any sin that has been repented, there is no need of an offering for that sin. Why? That sin is blotted out and in God's sight it doesn't exist in any form. It is done away with, and you are not supposed to mention it again. So don't try to offer Christ's blood for a sin that has been already repented of, or it becomes a mockery.

Hebrews 10:19 "Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,"

When Christ died on the cross, the veil into the Holy of Holies was rent in two, doing away with that form of offering. Once you have come to believe on Jesus Christ, and have repented of your sins, then you have the right to enter boldly before the throne of God. That is a right you have as part of your inheritance as a son or daughter of God. Our right is established in the name of Jesus, for in His name only do we establish the fact that we believe, and we are claiming the blood of Christ as our authority to be there.

That small room in the back of the temple that was called Holy of Holies was only a shadow of the true Throne of God which is in heaven. That old priest had bells on his feet, and a rope tied around himself when he entered into that room. If He wasn't just right the sound of the bells would stop ringing, God would strike him down and the other priests would have to pull out his dead body. We are not under that form of sacrifice now, and that is why it becomes important to get off those guilt trips, repent and go boldly before the throne of God.

Hebrews 10:20 "By a new and living way which He hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh;"

Through Christ you are presented directly to Almighty God. You have God attention anytime that you need him.

Hebrews 10:21 "And having an High Priest over the house of God;"

That High Priest after the order of Melchisedec is Christ Himself.

Hebrews 10:22 "Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water."

Your access before our Father is by having your heart or mind set on Him, and through your faith in Christ. Repentance brings about the freedom that you have to release the shame that sin bring upon your conscience. When you sin, it is saying, don't hold back and leave part of the sin in your mind and conscience, for God can see right into the very thought process of your mind, and you can hide nothing from Him.

Hebrews 10:23 "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful That promised;)"

Set your minds on the promises that God has given you in His Word, and be secure in your faith to direct your actions from those promises.

Hebrews 10:24 "And let us consider on another to provoke unto love and to good works:"

We are to urge each other to get into His Word and to do the works that we are instructed to do. That includes helping and fellowshipping with one another in His Word. "To provoke" is to encourage others in their walk in the Lord.

Hebrews 10:25 "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."

There is a reason for our assembling and exhorting each other to stay in the Word, and keep a clean mind through repentance. That reason is so that each of us will stay focused on the day of the Lord approaching. The "day of the Lord" is when Christ will come to earth and set up His Millennium kingdom. However that time will not come until after certain things stated in God's Word have happened first. One of those things is Satan's return in person in his role of the Antichrist, the instead of Christ. This was Jesus last warning to His church before He went to the cross. It is found in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21, and that warning was "Take heed that no man deceive you "

Jesus then gave us seven events that would take place before His second return, and this was given to His disciples, those that were his. There was no mention of any fly-away that was to take place, then or at any time. We are instructed to pay attention and be watchmen for those events, and exhorting those other Christians around us to watch for them, so that we are not deceived by the deceiver [the destroyer from Hebrews 2:14], when he comes to deceive the entire world. Prepare yourself for the events that will happen to keep you from being deceived by Satan. Satan will come looking like Christ and doing the things that Christ would do, using supernatural powers that God will allow him have. Satan is not just coming alone, but he will have his entire army of fallen angels with him, as we are told in Revelation 12:7-9.

Revelation 12:7 "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,"

Revelation 12:8 "And prevailed not, neither was there place found any more in heaven."

Revelation 12:9 "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole World: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

Satan is coming first, and that time is very near. The reason for our assembling together is to prepare ourselves for that coming so that we will not be deceived. The time of the final generation started way back in 1948 when the nation of tiny Israel, of the Jews was established, and most of the end time prophecy is history, or current events to us today.

This is why you are to not forsake yourselves from assembling, for together we are to be looking for these events that are coming to pass, and they are today. If it is for any other purpose, then it is not what is referred to in this verse. Our Bible is full of prophesies dealing with the end times, and that is why the entire Bible must be part of your study.

Hebrews 10:26 "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,"

This is the key, "if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth." How many people do you think have the knowledge of the truth? The truth is the Word of God, every last verse of it. We are talking about the unforgivable sin.

That unforgivable sin is turning your back to the Spirit of God when that day approaches. When Satan is on earth and the Holy Spirit wants to speak through you when you have the full knowledge of the truth in your mind. There will be no forgiveness for your refusing to allow the Holy Spirit to use you. For that act there is no sacrifice for that sin. Very few people that call themselves Christians today have that knowledge of the full truth, because many of our so-called Christian churches aren't teaching it . In that day when Satan rules, God is going to place a stupor [or slumber] on those in ignorance, to close their minds to the truth for their own protection. However God's elect, and certain others will be sealed in their minds with the truth, and know Satan for who he is and will not be deceived. This verse is directed to those elect that have received the knowledge of the truth, and are expected to allow the Holy Spirit to use them and speak through them.

Mark 13:11 "But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: But whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit."

This is what Paul is speaking of in Hebrews 10:26. When you accepted the body of Christ and you know what is going to happen, as it is written in His Word, the Spirit of God has given you the insight. After this if you fall off to the son of perdition, knowing who he is, there is no forgiveness. Don't get all frustrated over this, for though the ignorant will fall for Satan, those in the know the truth will know who he is, and Satan will be an abomination to us.

Hebrews 10:27 "But a certain fearful looking for of judgment, and fiery indignation which shall devour the adversaries."

Who is going to be devoured? "The adversaries" are going to be devoured. Satan is the adversary, as well as his fallen angels, and all them that will follow him. Therefore don't bow a knee to him, and let Christ use you to stand against Him. Some of you have a destiny and you have known that there is more to God's Word then you were being taught, and you are beginning to wake up to the truth as that day of the Lord approaches. Sure each of God elect look forward to that fearful day of judgment, for that is the day of Jesus Christ's return and our rewards. That is the time we shall receive not only our incorruptible bodies, but also our immortal souls that will never stand in judgment. Paul spoke of this in I Corinthians 15:50-55, when the sting of death shall be no more. Not in the physical, nor the spiritual death of the soul, as recorded in Revelation 20:14.

The "fiery indignation" that shall come is the Holy Spirit. On that day of Jesus return the Holy Spirit will warm us and give us comfort, whereas to those that took up their mark of Satan in the great tribulation [deception] it will burn them with shame. This is why the story was written of the three men in the fiery furnace in Daniel 3. It is to let you know that it doesn't matter what happens, you will be protected by the Spirit of God. If God is with you, and you are on His mission, not one hair on your head can be singed.

Hebrews 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:"

Those that broke Moses' law received their punishment for their deed by word of two or three witnesses.

Hebrews 10:29 "Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith He was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?"

The "Spirit of grace" is the Holy Spirit. This is saying that with two witness a soul could receive even death. However to those that have known the truths of God's Word have repented and received the freedom that we have in Christ, which is the blood of Christ. When that person then turns against the Spirit of God, he has insulted Him.

When the Son of God was in the flesh, He was the Begotten Son, and He was trodden under foot when He was crucified. Satan brought it about, and he is the adversary. Those that do not care enough for our Father Word and the testimony of the truth that Antichrist will come first, will bow to him and that is an "unholy thing".

There is no forgiveness for those of the elect if they shouldl do this, and not allow the Holy Spirit to speak through them, but they will not. That would be unforgivable.

Paul is telling us the purpose of God's plan here. He is saying, I told you that because they crucified Christ on the cross, as written in Hebrews 2:14, now He can pour out His indignation without one wit, or thought of concern.

Hebrews 10:30 "For we know Him that hath said, "Vengeance belongeth unto Me, I will recompense, saith the Lord." And again,"The Lord shall judge His people." "

Paul quotes this several times, such as Romans 12:19, and he is quoting from Deuteronomy 32:35, 36. Deuteronomy 32 records the song of Moses that is spoken of in Revelation 15:3, 4. It is stating that the overcomers would be singing this song after the return of Christ. It is the elect's victory song.

Revelation 15:3 "And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and marvelous are they works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are Thy ways, Thou King of saints."

Revelation 15:4 "Who shall not fear Thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name: for Thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before Thee, for Thy judgments are made manifest."

This is your third witness as to the time sequence of this final event of the flesh age. That is all those that receive the victory over the Antichrist and his one world system that he brings into power, as they are come into the presence of Jesus Christ in that Millennium age, will be singing a song. Paul is also fixing in your mind here the time pertaining to when you shall receive the death penalty spiritually, when you turn your back on the Holy Spirit.

Hebrews 10:31 "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."

Remember what Jesus said about those that fall into the hands of God on the day of vengeance. in Matthew 10:28. "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him Which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

If your flesh is destroyed, Ecclesiastes 12:7 tells us that the soul is returned to the Father, form whence it came. However, if the soul perishes in hell fire, it turns to ashes and ceases to exist in any form, even in the memory of your loved ones. This is what is called the second death, in Revelation 20:14: "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death."

You don't have to fear man so much, but to fall into the hand's of God is a fearful thing.

Hebrews 10:32 "But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;"

The day that you were illuminated, is the day that you came to know the truth of God's Word. Any time you see some great light from the Word of God, the first thing you want to do is to share it with someone else. When you go out to plant that seed of truth and share it with someone, Satan will attack your words in the mind of the listener, and in their ignorance they will try to shoot you down. They do this because they just don't know any better. Don't let that illumination be destroyed by their ignorance.

Hebrews 10:33 "Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used."

This is why companionship with like believers is so important, for instead of getting shot down when the Spirit of God reveals some spiritual truth, there is excitement in your sharing of any truth. Dear Christian friends are very valuable, don't take them lightly when you have them. They are a gift from God. Like minds are important when they can share the truth, and support one another.

Hebrews 10:34 "For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance."

At the time of Paul's writings, the Christian was persecuted far more then today. The life of a Christian was given no value at all, and many were killed for their beliefs. The persecution today is mostly of the mind, if you allow it, but you don't have to. When you follow God's Word boldly, and stick to the instructions within it, there will be no fault in you.

Your "enduring substance" is your "inheritance" as a child of the Living God. It is your rewards that you will receive for service to Him. Even today we receive His rewards, for when we are at our weakest, we are at our strongest, for we turn more to Christ for our strength.

Hebrews 10:35 "Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward."

Don't ever cast away the confidence that you have in the knowledge of the truth that we have in Jesus Christ. The judgment waiting for you in Christ, means reward. Keep up your confidence, and fix in your mind that there is a pay day coming where every harsh word and deed that has been taken by you for the Lord's sake will be well rewarded. That is the confidence that we should keep focused in our mind.

Hebrews 10:36 "For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise."

After you have done the Work of God that you were instructed to do by His Word, then is the time for patience on your part. When you hold fast to the faith that we have in Christ, there is a time of reward, for that is the promises that we have in His Word. the "promise" is the inheritance that you have as one of the sons or daughter of the Living God. That inheritance is by far more valuable then all this world age put together.

To be a doer of the "will" or Word of God, means in our generation that you are completely available to the Holy Spirit for His service. That is your soul purpose in the final generation, to allow the Spirit of God to use your mouth and mind to witness to the world. The will of God for His elect is given in Ephesians 1:4 and has to do with the Elect of God, because God chose them in the first earth age,  after Luc=ifer's rebellion.

Ephesians 1:4 "According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love."

This is the time of the overthrow of Satan in the first earth age, and when he fought, the elect stood against him then. These souls that fought then are the self same souls that come through the womb of woman as human beings in this earth age. This verse has to do with predestination, as discussed in Romans 8.

Ephesians 1:5 "Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,"

It was predestinated in that first earth age, that these elect would become an heir of God, by His adoption. God receives pleasure because at the overthrow when Satan rebelled, His elect fought against Satan. That pleased God very much, enough to make those that took a stand, one of His elect. If you don't relate to what is said here, and you are saved, don't worry about it, this is directed to the elect of God.

Ephesians 1:6 "To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved:"

Though we fall short of that unmerited favor or grace, we are accepted as God's children.

Ephesians 1:7 "In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace,"

Though we do fall short, when we repent in Jesus name, He forgives us of our sins through that unmerited favor.

Ephesians 1:8 "Wherein He hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;"

This means that He will allow you to open your eyes and ears to better understand His Word, that fits in the will of God.

Ephesians 1:9 "Having made know unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself;"

This mystery of God's will started not in this earth age, but in the world age prior to this flesh age. God stated way back in that first earth age what His will was, and that "will" is His purpose.

Ephesians 1:10 "That in the dispensation of the fulness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him."

This is the object of the dispensation that we have been reading about, that Christ will return on the day of vengeance. God wants all of His children home safe with him. That is His will and His purpose. However many by their own free-will refuse to allow it to happen.

Ephesians 1:11 "In Whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him Who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will:"

The Elect's inheritance is obtained and it is real, and it was predestinated from before this earth age, when you became one of the elect. God's will is His plan written in the Word of God, and His plan is to bring salvation and heritance to as many of His children that will accept His Word. To His elect He will even drive them to the position where they will do His will. They have already earned it in that first earth age, and to those with free will, God will also make them heirs to their inheritance in this time of grace. Let there be no mystery in the will of God, study it so you can stand that spiritual destruction that Satan will send on the whole earth when he comes claiming to be God.

Hebrews 10:37 "For yet a little while, and He That shall come will come, and will not tarry."

It will be at God's appointed time that our Lord will return.

Ephesians 1:12 "That we should be to the praise of His Glory, who first trusted in Christ.

Ephesians 1:13 "In Whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of Promise,"

Get into God's Word and act like the child of God that you are. God has the right to expect it of you, because He is your Father. Christ is going to come to end this earth age, and He expects to find you obedient to Him. When that time comes, it will be a day where there will be no more doubt or mystery. However, if you have given yourself over to Antichrist in ignorance, you will face a stern time of discipline and obedience in the Millennium age. Then in the end it will be your works that will saved you. However to the elect and those that were sealed with the truth of God's Will, it will be a time for joy and many rewards, for they will be granted eternal life at Christ's return.

Hebrews 10:38 "Now the just shall live by faith: but if an man draw back, My soul shall have no pleasure in him."

Very shortly we are going to witness the greatest revival this world has ever seen, only that revival will be to the wrong Christ, it will be to the "instead of Christ", who is the Antichrist Satan.

Hebrews 10:39 "But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul."

There is only one time that you have a choice to receive Christ and believe on His name through faith, and that is while in this flesh age. It is here and now. For when the Antichrist come, you will either be sealed with the truth of God's will to resist Satan, or you will be taken instantly by him. When you bow to Satan then faith, by faith, is taken from you, because in the Millennium age there is no need for faith for all truth is known to every mind and Christ will be here for all to see. So it will be strictly by your discipline and your obedience to your works for that thousand years that you will be judged.

There will be many in our generation that will have to wait until after the Millennium age to be accepted under the value of salvation. This is because of their being deceived by Satan the Antichrist, which is "them who draw back unto perdition".

Jesus said in John 17:12 "While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Thy name: those that Thou gavest Me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled."

Satan is this "son of perdition", and not Judas as many teach, and this is aimed at the final generation. The son of perdition, as outlined in Ezekiel 28, is Satan, the king of Tyrus, and his role as the "son of perdition" is the "Antichrist". Satan has already been sentenced to death or perdition, and the Greek word for "perdition" is "apoleia", Revelation 9:11 identifies that to be one of Satan's roles; that of "Apollyon", the man of perdition. It is time to be alert for many are going to be deceived by this false Christ.
