THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO
LUKE

Chapter 22

Caution to students of God's Word - Please remember two things when using our studies: #1. Our commentary is not God's Word. It is only our interpretation or understanding of "His Word" and even though we try our best to be accurate we may or may not be correct. #2. The King James translation, or any other translation, of the original Hebrew text has some words which were given different translations at different places probably because of the interpreters preconceived ideas of what they think God meant to say. For example: According to the notes in the "Drake's Annotated Reference Bible" the Hebrew word hayah in the KJV is Trans. (became) 67 times, (becamest or came to pass) 505 times, (become) 66 times, and (come to pass) 131 times, but for some reason in Genesis 1:2 it is translated (was)! That sure changes the way a person perceives the original creation of the earth, doesn't it?  Gen. 1:2 And the earth was (became) without form, ... Having said that, let us continue with our "Key Knowledge" lessons. These are pamphlets containing knowledge, we believe, you must have to fully and accurately unlock and understand the Word of God.

John 15:26
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

John 16:13-14
[13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. [14] He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Chapter 22

"Event: The Last Passover. [1 - 38]"
"The Feast, Nigh. [1 - 7]"
"The Feast Prepared. [8 - 13]"
"The Feast Partaken, Communion. [8 - 20]"
"Jesus prayer of Agony. [39 - 46]"
"Jesus betrayal by Judas. [47 - 54]"
"Jesus Brought to Trial: Peters Denial. [55 - 62]"
"Jesus Led Away to the Sanhedrin. [63 - 71]"

In Luke 21, Jesus gave us the signs of the end times that make up the seven seals, the seven trumps, and the seven vials. These events will happen in our generation, just prior to His coming at the second advent. We know that the seals are not in chronological order, but the trumpet soundings are the sound that starts those events into action. The trumpets are in order of their happenings. Those events will happen exactly as they are written. It just doesn't matter what men say, for these events are all part of the plan of God as prophesied by God through His prophets and apostles. If you stop long enough to ask the Holy Spirit to give you understanding, when studying Matthew 24, Mark 13, or Luke 21 to know these signs, you will be without excuse at the coming of the Lord for bowing to Satan and his system.

So now after the time Jesus taught in the Temple, and cleansed the Temple from the money changers and mite infested birds and departed the temple for the mount of Olives for their instruction there. When Jesus was in the Temple there was always a crowd around Him which made it impossible to single Christ out to get Him away from the crowd. Each time Jesus made a move to put down the traditions of the Kenite Religious leaders and their traditions, they become more determined to murder Him.

Now Jesus sat with His disciples on the mount of Olives, and they were instructed of the events of the end times. Then the time of teaching is over and they were preparing for the Passover meal.

Luke 22:1 "Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover."

"The feast of unleavened bread" is the Passover. When Jesus Christ went to the cross, He became our Passover. I Corinthians 5:7 "Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:" This is what Luke 22 is all about, that time when Jesus would fulfill all the prophesies of the Old Testament concerning the coming of the Messiah, the Passover for one and all times. The entire foundation of Christianity hinges on that Passover, that Sacrifice of Jesus Christ who became our Passover for one and all times. If you partake of Him, Jesus Christ, the bread and the wine, Satan has no choice but to pass over you. Why? Jesus has given you power and authority over Satan and your enemies. In that God has given you this wonderful gift, have are you using it?

Luke 22:2 "And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill Him; for they feared the people."

What a church, here the leaders of that church or Temple are seeking ways to murder Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Don't lose sight of who they are, for they are not of God, but Satan. Though they planed their murderous act, there was so many people around Jesus that it was hard to get near to Him. If they would have followed through with their murderous act in the Temple, the people would have stoned them to death. Keep in mind that this chief priest was not appointed by God, but by the Roman Governor. This is why they wanted to take him secretly, so their could hold their trial of Christ privately.

Luke 22:3 "Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve."

It is important to know what the name "Iscariot" means; It means "the city of Korith", or an inhabitant of Korith: # 2469 in Strong's Greek dictionary. This Judas was a man of the city, and remember from Genesis 4 when God cut Cain off from having the land yield a harvest for him, Cain became a man of the city. However remember that after Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus, He threw the money on the Temple floor and repented. Judas did not go out as many portrayed him, a man that hung himself, for Peter tells us in Acts 1:18 that he was murdered by the Kenites, just as Jesus was.

Acts 1:16, 17 "Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost [Spirit] by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guided to them that took Jesus." [16] "For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry." [17]

Acts 1:18 "Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out."

After Judas betrayed Jesus, he became a liability to the Kenite religious leaders, that plotted to murder Jesus. Judas returned the money to the temple so that money could not be used for the keep of the Temple. However Judas was still there and had to be silenced. Notice how Judas died. Sure it says that he hung himself, however, before his hanging, he was ripped open to have his insides displayed, then hung, and allowed to fall forward to the point that the jolt would cause his insides to gush out onto the ground. No Judas was not alive when they hung him, for he had been murdered by these same Kenites now planning to do away with our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. No there is no way that Judas could have hung himself as the Kenite traditions would have you believe.

Remember back in Luke 12:10 "Whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto Him that blasphemes against the Holy Spirit it shall not be forgiven." We will see later that Judas was truly repentive of this prophesied act that he committed against the "Son of man", Jesus the Christ. Judas had a lot of help in his dying, and those religious leaders simply could not allow him to live and betray their secret acts. When one repents in Christ's name, we have to believe that that soul will be forgiven.

Luke 22:4 "And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray Him unto them."

While the others sat at the meeting on the mount of Olives, Judas left to meet with the chief priests and leaders at the Temple, to plot how that Judas could be used in the betrayal of Jesus. These people plotting this murder of Jesus were not in the Roman army, but the church leaders of the time, trying to defend their traditions and false doctrines that they taught to the people. Remember that they were not of the so called Levitical priesthood, for that priesthood had been completely take over when the house of Judah was in Babylon in captivity, some 500 years earlier. Judas betrayed Christ, he was a traitor to the cause of Christ.

Luke 22:5 "And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money."

The Kenite Jewish religious leaders were very glad that Judas, one of Jesus own trusted disciples would turn on Him like he did. The agreement for the betrayal was thirty pieces of silver. Matthew 26:15 "And said unto them, "What will ye give me, and I will deliver Him unto you?" and they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver." Many people today have a bottom line to their ministry, for it is like a business to them. Here Judas' price was the price for one slave; thirty pieces of silver. This price was not set that day that Jesus and His disciples were up there on the mount of olives, no it was set some 440 years prior, as is recorded in Zechariah 11:10-17.

Zechariah 11:10 "And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people."

This is the Old Covenant, which we call the Old Testament. "Beauty" is the staff, which is to say, Christ. "The poor of the flock" of Zechariah 11 are the sheep traffickers, or the Kenites that sell God's children.

Zechariah 11:11 "And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock what waited upon me knew that it was the Word of the Lord."

God is telling us that these "sheep traffickers", or Kenites knew what they would do, and would wait on the time appointed. They knew exactly what they were doing.

Zechariah 11:12 "And I [Judas] said unto them, "If ye think good, give me my price; and if not forbear." So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver."

This was the price of the Staff, "Beauty", who is our Lord Jesus Christ. That is the value that the Kenite sheep traffickers put on Jesus life.

Zechariah 11:13 "And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD."

We will see that this prophesy written hundreds of years before Christ, was exact in every detail. Judas ran back after the crucifixion and cast the thirty pieces of silver on the temple floor, and shortly after that the Kenites killed him. Jesus was valued no more than the price of one slave to Judas or the Kenites.

The Kenite priests, Pharisees and elders picked up those thirty pieces of silver off the floor, the blood money that they had given for the price of the Savior, and they bought the potters field. The potters field is out side the potters gate, and it is the place where all the broken and junk pottery is thrown. Broken and beyond repair from the potters wheel, those broken fragments are discarded out there in this field. Those were the vessels that were broken beyond repair.

The lesson to us is that by the potters field being purchased, meant that Christ could take the broken and shattered lives of people broken beyond repair, God's children that would repent and turn to Him, and turn those lives around. Christ blood on the cross could purchase all the broken pieces, just as taking these earthen vessels, and put them back together again. This lesson from God, through Judas and this money transaction, did not take place as a momentary thing, but was all part of God's plan to bring broken lives back to Himself. Jesus Christ can make that body and mind whole again, mend that soul and give that person a renewed sense of value.

Zechariah 11:14 "Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel."

This is as it is today, as the two houses of Judah and Israel have very little in common, for the Christian nations and the tiny nation of Judah mixed with the Kenites, calling itself Israel; are completely separated.

Zechariah 11:15 "And the Lord said unto me, "Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd." God is telling us that in our day, He will send us this foolish shepherd, or the Antichrist, and Antichrist will rule over both houses with his instruments.

Zechariah 11:16 "For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but He shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces."

This false shepherd that is Satan the Antichrist, will not care one bit for the people that go whoring after him, for he knows that his time is very short, and he is busy claiming all the souls that he can. All that is except those with the seal of God in their foreheads, which is the truth of the word of God sealed away in their minds.

So this potters field out side the potters gate will be the place to discard broken pottery and bury the very poor. That thirty pieces of silver that put our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross, is able to this day to put your life back together when you take that shed blood of Christ on the cross and apply it to your live in repentance. The point here is that the chief priests were trying to use this to show disgust for Christ, when in turn, they did the very act that bring destruction on their own heads, and seal the death judgment on their father Satan's head.

The reason that these things were written centuries before they came to pass is that our Lord wanted us to know that His Word is true and can be trusted. You can count on it, and His Word should strengthen your faith.

Luke 22:6 "And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray Him unto them in the absence of the multitude."

Luke 22:7 "Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the Passover must be killed."

Luke 22:8 "And He sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and prepare us the Passover, that we may eat."

The Passover spoken of here is not the Passover of the meat, the lamb slaying; but the Passover of the evening before. So Jesus is sending Peter and John into Jerusalem to make ready for that Passover time.

Luke 22:9 "And they said unto Him, "Where wilt Thou that we prepare?"

Remember they are in Bethany, on the mount of Olives.

Luke 22:10 "And He said unto them, "Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in."

Even though you might consider this to be quite a normal thing, a man carrying a pitcher of water; it wasn't. Women carried the pitchers of water, and men carry wine skins. To see a man carrying a pitcher of water is something that was as unusual as a man carrying a purse today. This man was more than likely John Mark's father. This place is the same place where the disciples and followers of Christ met after His ascension into Heaven, as recorded in Acts 1:12, 13. This was John Mark's house, as we see from Mark 14:51, 52; John Mark was that young man that ran away naked, or without his outer coat, when they came to get him. So this place is where the last supper will take place.

Luke 22:11 "And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, `The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guest chamber, where I shall eat the Passover with My disciples?"

Notice that this is all prearranged, and takes place right on schedule. Every detail for this last supper was tended to, right down to the carrying of the pitcher of water and the house that it would all take place in. Our Heavenly Father is very well organized, and He expects His servants to be well organized also.

Luke 22:12 "And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready."

Once you understand that this was John Mark's home, and he was there in the house for the entire event, we see how John Mark could write in such detail in his book The Gospel of Mark. Mark wasted no time in his writings but came right to the point. He was there as a young lad and a witness to the Passover event that night.

Luke 22:13 "And they went, and found as He had said unto them: and they made ready the Passover."

Luke 22:14 "And when the hour was come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him."

Notice here that something has changed, for Jesus no longer calls the twelve, "disciples", but "apostles". They are no longer disciplined students, but they were now ready to be Christ's "the sent ones" [apostles] after the resurrection of the Lord. When the disciples finished the lesson of the events of the last days [of Luke 21], they were finished with Jesus' personal teach of them, the became apostles.

Luke 22:15 "And He said unto them, "With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:"

Does it look like Jesus dreaded this day of his crucifixion, and the Passover meal? Of course not. He looked forward to this day, for that is why our Lord came in the flesh. Jesus said, I desired it, I'm ready. Jesus never dreaded this day, for that was the purpose that He would come in the flesh. Look out for those that would teach that Jesus dreaded this day, for this was truly a day of joy for our Lord. It is the day of Salvation, when all His children could be drawn back to Himself.

Luke 22:16 "For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God."

The meal we call the last supper, is what is called the "Chagigah" feast. It is not the Passover itself, but the meal the evening before. Meat of the lamb is not part of this meal, but it is the wine and unleavened bread; the Chagigah, or last supper, as we see portrayed in many in pictures hanging on our walls.

Luke 22:17 "And He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, "Take this, and divide it among yourselves:"

By the Hebrew calendar this took place on the 14th, the Passover day, for that day started at sundown, 6 P M. in the evening.

Luke 22:18 "For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come."

Jesus is letting his apostles know that this is the day that He would be given over to be tried and crucified.

Luke 22:19 "And He took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, "This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of Me."

Jesus is preparing them for the time after He has been crucified, resurrected from the dead, and ascended into heaven. This is the communion table that Jesus set up as an example of what we are to do in remembrance of Him, and the suffering that He went through of each of us. It was from this act of suffering and defeating death that He gave all those that would believe on Him eternal life. He left that choice up to you, whether you will have the faith to believe, or reject this sacrifice He has made for you. The unleavened bread is is given for our remembrance of those stripes that He took for us; as well as the crown of thorns that was placed on His head, the nails that were driven into his hands and feet, and the spear that pierced His side. It is by His stripes that we are healed.

Luke 22:20 " Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new testament in My blood, which is shed for you."

Notice that this cup of wine was not given until after the supper, it was not something to be attached to a meal but to the "new Testament" that has become our Communion table today. If there was any doubt before as to why our Lord Jesus Christ's was crucified, this takes that doubt away. "This cup is the new testament in My blood, which is shed for you." Not for any deeds that He has done, but for the sins that we have done. The blood of Christ fulfills the part of the ordinance of the law demanding an animal sacrifice for sins committed. Jesus is going to become fulfill that sacrifice once and for all times. The Old Covenant testament act given by Moses is written of in Exodus 24:8.

Exodus 24:8 "And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, "Behold the blood of the covenant, which the Lord hath made with you concerning all these words." This act of Moses was the first covenant that the Lord made with His people.

In Matthew 26:28 we are told exactly what this shed blood of our Lord was for. "For this is My blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." It wasn't for His sins, for He had no sin; but it was for your and my sins, all the sins of those that would by faith, believe on Jesus and come under the blood of Christ that was shed for our sins.

Was it for everyone? When you repent, and ask forgiveness of the Father, in Jesus' Name, then and only then are you under the power of the blood of Jesus Christ, and that action forgives all your sins. Once sins are repented and forgiven, the remission is complete, those sins are gone forever, yet many people like to hang on to their past for vanity sake. They still hold themselves guilty, as if Christ did not forgive them. This act of vanity is offending to the Almighty God, and to His Son, Jesus Christ. When anything is repented, in Jesus name, it is over and done with.

So the Old Covenant or Testament is being fulfilled by this act by Christ when He goes to the cross and His blood is shed, establishing the New Covenant or Testament. It paid the price for one and all times, for He was perfect and we are not.

Luke 22:21 "But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth Me is with Me on the table."

Right there while the communion cup is being served, there is a traitor sitting right by Jesus side. Jesus knew all that time that this would happen, that Judas would betray him by a kiss to the Kenite Religious leaders. Everything that would happen was planned by God; and it was Scripture from the Old Testament.

Luke 22:22 "And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom He is betrayed!"

So where was it determined? In Psalms 22 at the first advent, how Jesus would be betrayed, and nailed to the cross. David told how they would gamble over his clothes there at the foot of the cross. Each item that would take place was written many places in the Old Testament, and His disciples had read those words, and heard Christ tell them in person what was to happen to Him. It is very important for us to remember that not one thing happened to our Lord, but that it was written of and determined by the Father, those things that should and would take place.

It is especially important for us living in this final generation to know also that those things that are happening today, are also determined by our Heavenly Father. The events of this final generation will take place right on schedule, just as these events pertaining to our Lord's crucifixion. There is a time coming when the entire church world of Christianity will stop taking communion, the unleavened bread, and the cup, for they will think that Christ is here on earth with them. In ignorance they will assume that the second advent will have happened, and accept the false Christ at the sixth trump, rather than waiting for the true Christ at the seventh trump.

Daniel 9:27 "And he [Satan, the Antichrist] shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.' "

Remember that gap left in Daniel's seventy weeks of years, well this is that final seven year that Jesus said was shortened to five months [Revelation 9:5, 10]. In the middle of that time frame that Satan will be on the earth, deceiving the people of this earth "the sacrifices and oblation" will cease. Why will it stop? People will no longer take Communion because they will assume Satan to be Jesus Christ. We are to take communion until Jesus comes back. "Satan shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation [which is the Communion table] to cease".

Matthew 26:29 "But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom." That kingdom starts at the seventh trump, when Jesus brings that kingdom to this earth for that thousand year period.

Most Christians, by their ignorance of His Word, will take the traditions of men and assume that Satan is Christ. Paul warned us in II Thessalonians 2:3 "Let no man deceive you by any means for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition," Satan is coming first no matter what the men of this world say {Even this Christian church world say.} You can count on it, for it is part of the events that God has determined. II Thessalonians 2:4 "Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the Temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."

Notice that verse three is part of verse four, so don't separate the though. The subject is "that we not be deceived with this one called the man of sin, and the son of perdition comes". We will know that man Satan, because he will exalteth himself above God. He will do the things that Christians think Jesus should do, and say the words that they think Jesus ought to say. All the while he will be in Jerusalem, in his temple calling himself God, and demanding himself to be worshipped as God. So this gets back to the question, why will people stop taking communion before the coming of Christ? Because they have assumed that Satan is Christ.

Those things that are determined or preset in His Word, through the prophets and apostles gives us knowledge that strengthens our faith. We know of an assurety that it is written in His Word, and determined by God that it shall come to pass just as it is written. This should cause us to get deeper into His Word, to know exactly what we can expect as the events are going on in front of us.

Luke 22:23 "And they began to enquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing."

The apostles knew that there was a traitor amongst them, but they did not know who it was. These apostles knew the prophesies of that time, and they expected this to happen, and now at that moment in time when Jesus called their attention to the fact, the apostle are talking about it amongst themselves. As they are talking, of course they are starting to compare each other and the things that they had done. In time their egos could get the best of them, and each could elevate themselves to high positions within the church. So the thing that started enquiry, as turned into a time of vanity and pride. Jesus just told them that someone at the table was going to betray Him, and their minds let their vanity and pride take hole.

Luke 22:24 "And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest."

There was also at the same time as their search for this traitor, strife building amongst these apostles. What was the strife all about? About who would be the greatest in the kingdom of God. If it could happen amongst the apostles, it can happen in your church also and amongst fellow Christians. Think for a moment what Jesus must be thinking, as He is about to go to the cross, and here the twelve are arguing amongst themselves who the greatest is. Christ is the greatest, and they are looking to each other. The point Jesus brought out is that somebody here is going to betray me, and now the apostle simply don't care who the traitor is. Do you see how your mind can get off the subject if you are not careful?

Friend, don't get so wrapped up today in your self "salvation", that you take your eyes off the Kenites that are in your midst. Don't forget to watch for the traitors that are in our midst. They are the ones that will misquote the Word and lead Christianity into Satan kingdom. They will portray themselves as one of you, when all the time they are traitors to Christ by their false teachings. They are the ones that will teach contrary to what is written here in Luke 21, Matthew 24, and Mark 13. They will twist Paul's letter of II Thessalonians 2, and the rest of His Word that warns us that the false Christ will come first. Satan's main attack on man, is his ego and self pride. Every time a man's ego is mentioned, there is strife, and actions that go against Jesus' instructions to us.

Editor's Note: A word of caution. Pay special attention to what's coming down from the pulpit of your church, It may or may not be done knowingly, but, is it all Biblical?

Luke 22:25 "And He said unto them, "The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors."

Jesus knew exactly that was going on here.

Luke 22:26 "But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve."

Jesus went on to tell His apostles that they were not as the kings of the Gentiles, benefactors, ones that take from the people. If you are great in the Kingdom, you will be the humble servant amongst the group. Jesus gave them a lesson by washing their feet that. Jesus is the greatest of all, because it was His blood that frees us of our sins. He humbled Himself to the cross for each of us, so who is the greater, you or Christ?

Luke 22:27 "For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth."

Luke 22:28 "Ye are they which have continued with Me in My temptations."

God expects each of us to take this truth that is revealed to us in these end times, and feed the people. The famine in these end times are for the hearing of the Word of God.

Amos 8:11 "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord."

There is no great and high and mighty person in our day, that deserves reverence, for only Christ is reverenced. To reverence man, any man is wrong, for no man is fit and worthy of reverence but only God; our Lord Jesus Christ, and our Heavenly Father. Our deeds of self righteousness are as dirty as filthy rags, worthy of fire, and none of those deeds should be reverenced. Get off that ego trip, and feed the sheep. There isn't much time remaining to feed the sheep that are starving to hear the Word of God as it is written. Don't be deceived in this final generation, for it is time to put on the gospel armor of Christ. The armor is to be put on before the battle comes, not after the fiery darts of Satan have struck your heart and mind.

Luke 22:29 "And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as My Father hath appointed unto Me;"

I am making with you a covenant for this kingdom, and My covenant with you is just as that Covenant that My Father had appointed or made with Me. Have you taken part in that kingdom yet, and picked up the responsibilities of that kingdom? You set your own role that you will play in that kingdom.

Luke 22:30 "That ye may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel."

It is written in Ezekiel that God's election will sit at His table, and be the judges of those day. Each one that is of the Zadok, the elect, will judge during that thousand year period. Then at the close of that thousand years millennium kingdom, comes the great white throne Judgment of our Heavenly Father. These responsibilities in the Millennium age is for teaching and disciplining those that fell short in this earth age of flesh man. Teaching and discipline should go hand in hand, to see that God's Word is taught fully and as it is written from the Word.

Ezekiel 40 through 48 is all about the Millennium kingdom, and in the 44:23; "And they shall teach My People the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean." The Zadok or elect will have a duty in that time.

Ezekiel 44:24 "And in controversy they shall stand in judgment; and they shall judge it according to My judgments: and they shall keep My laws and My statutes in all Mine assemblies; and they shall hallow My Sabbaths."

This entire chapter deals with how God's elect will be treated and the authority that each shall have in the Millennium age that is not far off in our generation today.

Luke 22:31 "And the Lord said, "Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:"

There was old Peter right at the head of the pact, so Jesus did not call by the name of the rock, but Simon. Satan wants to have Peter, and to test him to see if he will stand. Satan tempted Christ before His ministry started, and here Satan is tempting the apostles also. Back in verse 28, Jesus reminded them that He also had temptations, but once Jesus ordered Satan to get behind Him, Satan was ordered out of Jesus life. Job was also tempted and persecuted by Satan. In Job 1:6, 7, Job went before the throne of God, to present himself to God and give account of himself to God. God asked Satan what he thought of Job.

Satan reminded God that Job was rich and had all the things of this life, and He had a fence built around Job. God allowed Satan to come against Job to test Job, and Job stood the pressures that Satan brought on Job. However the times that are just ahead of us are going to be like they have never been before, for God is going to turn over those that are not sealed in their minds with the truth from God's Word to Satan. Satan and his realm will sting the people of this earth, as a scorpion strikes a man. When a scorpion strikes a man, his mind and central nervous system is paralyzed to where that man cannot defend himself from that scorpion. However, God will build a fence around you today, in the power and name of our Savor Jesus Christ. Satan will not be able to penetrate that fence, unless you open the gate to that fence and allow Satan to enter.

In Luke 10:19 we studied that God gave us power over all of our enemies, as He beheld Satan fall as a star to the earth. That time of Satan's falling is written in Revelation 12:9, for Satan is coming from heaven with his army of fallen angels to this earth. Is your wall up to defend yourself at that time? You are the one that must put it up by your studying in the Word of God. Just as Job was under fire from Satan, here came Job's three friends, and with friends like that, who needs enemies? They accused Job of everything under the sun, yet Job held true to God. Through all the bad information given to Job by his friend, Job would not take their advice to heart, but he still did not make a stand until God questioned him in the end.

Remember that Paul told us that those things written of in the Old Testament were examples to us living in these last days. I Corinthians 10:11 "Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come." We are living in the end generation, in the time of the end, and those things written of about Job and the rest of the prophets are given to us for examples

Editor's Note: Yes, we can read all those old Bible stories, what many of us refer to as "Back in Biblical Times" and know those things didn't just happen by chance. They were all planned, by God, physical events for us to read about and learn a lesson from, about the spiritual conditions and things that will happen to spiritually in these last days. Have you read them all and learned anything? If not, you better read them again, over and over, until you have fixed in your mind, what our Lord was telling us about our lives here and now, and in the future!

Satan wanted Simon Peter, for Jesus had already declared that Peter had the truth, the foundation that "Jesus Christ was the Son of God", and Jesus was going to use that truth and Peter to build His Church upon. Acts chapters one and two show us that Peter took charge after Christ's ascension into heaven, and was the main pillar that the others looked to. Satan did not want people grouping together in the name of Christ. This is why Satan wanted and demanded Peter, just as he did with Job. If you make a difference in the world today, Satan will also try to get to you and your family. However today you don't have to let the wall down, but you can order Satan out of your life in Jesus name.

Satan wanted to "sift" Peter, and he sifts by knowing your every weakness. Satan will focus only those those weak parts of your life, and keep hammering on those weaknesses. This is why drugs, smoking, alcohol and all the other habits in your life are so important to Satan, for they are on the top of his list as to how he will attack you. If he finds you have a weakness, he knows just a little sniff, or bottle of liquor, and you will follow him right into his [Satan's] bed, spiritually speaking. Its up to you whether you maintain that fence around you in these end times.

Luke 22:32 "But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren."

Jesus Himself has prayed for you, that in those times when your faith fails you, that you will recover from those low times in your life. When you have been down in your depression, and have recovered, use that lesson to strengthen someone else that has been in those depressing times in their life.

Remember that Christ is talking to Peter here, and He knew that Peter would stumble before the night was over. So this also applies to Peter, for after he denied Christ those three time, Jesus had prayed for his recovery, and that this would strengthen him with the brethren. Peter did recover and revert back to his common sense, rather then denying that Christ was Messiah.

Luke 22:33 "And he said unto Him, "Lord, I am ready to go with Thee, both into prison, and to death."

I'm sure that Peter meant every word that he just said in his commitment to Jesus.

Luke 22:34 "And He said, "I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest Me."

Jesus looked at Peter and said to him, Peter, you are going to deny me three time before the morning comes and the cock crows. Remember that in just a few hours from this time, Jesus will be in the hands of the Kenite religious leaders, heading in for their secret trial that will bring Christ to the cross. I'm sure that those words hurt Peter's feelings.

There is another time coming very soon, when God's election will be in the same position that Peter was in here. They will be delivered up before the false messiah, in the synagogues of Satan to give account of themselves. Does something like that alarm you or are you looking forward to that day? It shouldn't bother you, for you don't even have to think on what you will say at that moment in time. God expects you to be ready, willing and able to respond to what ever Satan's group throws at you. Of course we do that by allowing the Holy Spirit of God to speak through us. It just doesn't matter what people think, as long as you are doing our Father's work.

Luke 22:35 "And He said unto them, "When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing?" And they said, "Nothing."

When Jesus sent the seventy followers out to preach, He told them not to take extra clothes, a begging bag, or any things personal. Just go and preach. Now Jesus is asking the apostles, when you went out and the people took care of you, did you lack anything? Jesus Christ Himself, in the presence of the Father, protected them every step of the way, and made all the provisions that were necessary for them. The apostles answered; "We lacked nothing." Jesus is telling them that if your faith is in me, you don't have to worry about anything, as long as you do your part. There is a condition, if you do your part.

Luke 22:36 "Then said He unto them, "But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one."

Jesus is telling them that if you are without faith, you are going to need your money, and you are going to need that sword for protection. Jesus let it be know that you either rely completely on Him, or you rely on yourselves. If money is the driving force of your ministry, then go begging for your money, for I will not be there, if there is no faith. The only sword we need is that which is part of the gospel armor of God. The sword of the Lord is His Word.

Luke 22:37 "For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in Me, `And He was reckoned among the transgressors:' for the things concerning Me have an end."

Jesus is letting it be know to His apostles that the time is running out, and the prophecies concerning Jesus crucifixion are approaching fast. Jesus is quoting here from Isaiah 53.

Isaiah 53:11 "He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied: by His knowledge shall My righteous Servant justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities."

It is going to happen. By His knowledge shall My righteous servant justify man. He will do this by His blood on the cross. How much of "His knowledge" do you have? That is what the seal of God is, "His knowledge" in your mind. That is what established whether you will be taken or not at the coming of Satan.

Isaiah 53:12 "Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because He hath poured out His soul unto death: and He was numbered with the transgressors; and He bare the sins of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."

How strong are you, spiritually speaking? This is the verse that Jesus Christ was quoting back in Luke 22:37. In other words, you don't have to worry about a coat, a purse, or script if you are in His Work for He is promising you that He will take care of you. God will intercede for you, and take care of those things that you can't handle by yourself. Jesus is telling you that He loves you, and you can trust Him.

Luke 22:38 "And they said, "Lord, behold, here are two swords." And He said unto them, "It is enough."

As Jesus is trying to get them ready for that time after His death, these apostles are still set on using swords for Jesus protection. Jesus is getting short with them, and said; "Enough of this." The apostles are confused and ready to do physical battle, and this is an example of how many are today in these end times. They are still thinking in of doing battle in the physical, when the true battle against Satan in our day will be a spiritual battle. the battle field of our day is in people's minds, and the it is not fought with guns and tanks, but with words and ideas that go against the Word of God. This is why the sword that we are to carry is the Word of God, in our minds, and we must be ready to use that knowledge. Most people today that call themselves Christians, simply do not know what is required of them once Satan and his fallen angels come to this earth. They don't even know how to prepare for that time.

So why are you going to carry that sword of the Lord? to do physical battle? Of course not. You carry that sword, the Word of God, in your mind for your defense against Satan. Can you win that battle and bring Satan down? No, you will not bring him down, for that is what Christ will do at His coming; but we will use it to defend ourselves from being deceived by Satan in that final hour of temptation.

Luke 22:39 "And He came out, and went, as He was wont, to the mount of Olives; and His disciples also followed Him."

Jesus and his disciples came from Bethany on the west slope of the mount of Olives and went to this place to pray.

Luke 22:40 "And when He was at the place, He said unto them, "Pray that ye enter not into temptation."

Jesus had a prayer time with the Father to complete, and He told His disciples to wait there a moment. They were to pray that they would not enter into a time of weakness while the events of the coming night would take place. There wasn't much time until Jesus would be taken by these religious leaders.

Luke 22:41 "And He was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,"

So how far can you throw a stone? not to far, well that is how far Jesus went to pray.

Luke 22:42 "Saying, "Father, if Thou be willing, remove this cup from Me: nevertheless not My will, but Thine, be done."

There is a lot of teachers these days that state that this is the cup of death, but that is not what Jesus is talking about. Jesus had just stated and quoted from Scripture exactly what He must do. He told us that He was ready and gladly willing to go to the cross. Now people say that Jesus feared His death and that this was the cup. Absolutely not! So what is the cup that is mentioned in God's Word? It is the cup of God's wrath. That cup of wrath comes at Jesus second advent, a time just ahead of us living in these end times.

In the end times the abundance of this one world systems delicacies are going to cause the world to fornicate with the merchants of this earth. Mystery Babylon, the mother of harlots [false religious systems] will be using these things of that Babylon system to draw the people of the world into that system. Satan will be the god over that system, and Our Heavenly Father is saying, "My People, come out of her."

Revelation 18:5 "For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities."

For all the wickedness that is going on when Satan arrives here on earth, and his system religious order is in control of the earth. Many of God's children, calling themselves Christians will be part of that system and taking part in those sins that are reaching into heaven even today.

Revelation 18:6 "Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double."

The cup is the wrath that God will bring down on this earth and it will come down hard of the heads of those that have taken part in the harlot church of the end times. They were so careless in these end times that would not prepare themselves for the time they were in. Here the Almighty Father is telling Jesus to fill that cup of wrath up to the full, and make that harlot church drink of all the wrath that shall come down upon her.

Editor's Note: I believe this harlet church is the actual temple that Jesus will throw down at his return. Remember - The temple is his body and we who claim to be Christians have helped form the harlot church which is run by Satan and his Kenite offspring; And that is what is coming down at His return.

Luke 21:6 " "As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down."

Revelation 18:7 "How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, `I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow."

This harlot church was taken by the first christ that came, Satan, and she sat with Satan on his throne declaring in their mind that she truly was a queen, and not a widow. There was no sorrow in their mind, for those Christians truly thought they were with Jesus. They were taken by the wrong Christ, and now at Jesus coming in the second advent, each of them have become part of the enemy. Judas had repented before his death, but those Christians that have taken part in Satan's harlot church will not repent, because they think they have done nothing wrong. They do not have the seal or Word of God in their minds, and they simply cannot tell the true Christ from the false christ: The sixth trump from the seventh.

If you think that you can sleep in these end times spiritually, and follow your pastor and teacher in his rapture doctrine, and all the other tradition that are springing up, and still be in good graces with God, you are badly mistaken. God is going to pour out this cup of wrath double on your head. This wrath is going to be so terrible that Jesus is saying here in Luke 22:42, "If it's possible", if there is another way that we can bring in the second advent with out the cup of wrath and trembling poured out on this earth; then your will be done." It will be done God's way.

If you call yourself a Christian, God expects more for you, He expects you to get into His Word and prepare yourself for those things our generation will face. God told us of this cup of wrath in Isaiah 51:22.

Isaiah 51:22 "Thus saith they Lord the Lord, and thy God That pleadeth the cause of His People, "Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of My fury; thou shalt no more drink it again."

Jesus is pleading for the cause of those people that remained true in this end generation. They were sealed with the truth, and did not bow to Satan. God is telling you that when this wrath of God hits this earth, never again with sister Babylon pass off any of those things mentioned in Revelation chapter eighteen. The cup goes into the Lord's hand, and He brings forth the wrath upon the earth. That is what we read about in Revelation 19:11-16, when Jesus comes as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Isaiah 51:23 "But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy soul, `Bow down, that we may go over:' and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over."

When Jesus puts this cup of wrath, the cup of dregs into the hand of those that would not listen to His Word, He is through of offering salvation to those that would come to Him by faith. Jesus is coming with a rod of iron, and a cup of fury to pour out on the people of this earth. So Jesus was praying here to the Father; "Is there any other way than the way already set forth in this cup of wrath." Then He answers that question: It doesn't matter Lord, your will be done. You can count on it that the events of our day will come to pass just as they are recorded in His Word. Those that keep their fence up will be protected at that time. All those events of Luke 21 will take place and our generation will witness them.

Luke 22:43 "And there appeared an angel unto Him from heaven, strengthening Him."

Luke 22:44 "And being in an agony He prayed more earnestly: and His sweat was as it were great drops of blood, falling down to the ground."

And angel came to Jesus just as he did after he did following Christ's temptations. Jesus loves His children, and it hurts Him when His children think so little of Him that they would go whoring after that harlot church and become part of this cup of wrath. Think of all those people that are doing such foolish things as killing their children, taking part in those things that God has told us that He hates, and they think that God will look the other way. Though Jesus has prayed for them, God gives each of us the right to follow Him or Satan. The righteous way, or that broad path that enjoys all the worldly things that Satan's Babylon harlot system will give them. Jesus did not want to pour that cup out on them, but He will, because it is the will of the Father. The cup is the only language that they understand and that will be give to them.

Luke 22:45 "And when He rose up from prayer, and was come to His disciples, He found them sleeping for sorrow,"

Our body is weak and when time goes by, we tend to fall asleep and just don't pay attention to what is going on around us. It is no different today, than it was at Jesus time. Don't you dare go to sleep on your spiritual watch in these latter day. It is time to wake up and pay attention for each of the events that shall take place.

Luke 22:46 "And said unto them, "Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation."

This is the second time Jesus warned his disciples to pray and be awake or they may enter into temptation. As these disciples slept, Jesus was just moments away from being turned over to the Kenites for their trial and murder. In our day there are so many things that can come up to tempt us in these latter days. The only way to keep yourself from the hour of temptation is to check it out for yourself in the Scriptures.

Luke 22:47 "And while He yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss Him."

One of the trusted disciples betrayed Him.

Luke 22:48 "But Jesus said unto him, "Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?"

Here a sing of love was turned into a sign of treachery. When this kiss is given even to our day, it is still called a Judas kiss.

Luke 22:49 "When they which were about Him saw what would follow they said unto Him, "Lord, shall we smite with the sword?"

This is just human nature to defend yourself when you are attacked. Even after Jesus talked with his disciples, telling them that He was about to be crucified, and that it must happen; they are still trying to stop it from happening. This wasn't the Roman army soldiers that came for Jesus, but a bunch of rag-tag elders, and Pharisees with their sticks and shovels, coming to take the Lord. One good soldier could have take out the whole bunch. This is alright for they were responding in defense of their own, but they were just a little short sighted in their response.

Luke 22:50 "And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear."

We know from another Gospel that it was Peter that smote the servant of the high priest's ear. According to John 18:10, this servant's name was Malchus. Peter said he was going to defend Jesus to the end, and he sure did. The point to remember here is that if Jesus wanted to be saved here, He could have called in an army of angels for His defense.

Luke 22:51 "And Jesus answered and said, "Suffer ye thus far." And He touched hs hear, and healed him"

Jesus said to Peter and the others, ", and Jesus touched this man's ear and it was healed.

Luke 22:52 "Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to Him, "Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?"

Here these religious nuts stood there as Jesus healed this man's ear and He turned to them and asked them why they were out there so late at night? Why have you come out with sticks to take me like a thief?

Luke 22:53 "When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against Me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness."

It was time for Satan's hour, to move against Jesus. This was the hour of darkness, and the next hour that comes is called the hour of temptation. We are going to be tempted, just as Peter and the rest were tempted. Many of the shameful things that they did are a lesson to us, so that we do not allow it to happen on our watch. We are to prepare ourselves now for that day, so when it come, it will be a normal thing that we are expecting. The detail are all there in His Word, but we must place them in our minds.

Luke 22:54 "Then took they Him, and led Him, and brought Him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off."

Remember that Jesus told Peter that you will deny me three times before the cock crows. Peter didn't believe that, but now we will see what happens.

Luke 22:55 "And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them."

Peter followed the group when they are taking Christ away to the priest's house, and he stood out from the rest like a sore thumb. As he was sitting by the fire, they all knew that Peter did not belong there because he was dressed like a Galilean.

Luke 22:56 "But a certain maid behold him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with Him."

This maid came and looked Peter over, for she had seen Peter before during one of the teaching sessions Jesus gave. She pointed to Peter, and stated; "This man was also with Him." Here comes the first denial.

Luke 22:57 "And he denied Him, saying, "Woman, I know Him not."

Luke 22:58 "And after a little while another saw him, and said, "Thou art also of them."

This is the second time Peter denied Christ.

Luke 22:59 "And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, "Of a truth this fellow also was with Him: for he is a Galilean."

About an hour later, this man then identified Peter by His dress, that of a Galilean.

Luke 22:60 "And Peter said, "Man, I know not what thou sayest." And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew."

Peter was a very brave man, and yet even in his strength he came to the point of denying the Lord. Jesus told him that he would deny Him three times, and now had just happened. Many of those things happened during the time of the crucifixion and there after to allow us to see how easy it is to lose sight the time we are in, and bow to Satan. You are not playing church in this final generation, the generation of the fig tree. Christianity is a reality, not a religion. It was being aware of the events that are going on, and not being drawn into Satan's system, as the entire world will be.

Live Link to-   Church is not Christianity. God's Word is Christianity.

Luke 22:61 "And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said unto him, "Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny Me thrice."

Jesus was there in the house, being questioned and abused while Peter was sitting there with those people in the chief priest's house. Jesus was very much aware of what Peter was doing, and when Peter had denied Christ for the third time, Jesus just looked at Peter, and Peter remembered immediately what Jesus had said. "Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny Me thrice."

Remember what Jesus told Peter back in verse 32? "But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren." Well Peter had done exactly as the Lord said he would, but now it is time for repentance, and rebuilding his strength to where he can be the pillar of the church.

Luke 22:62 "And Peter went out, and wept bitterly."

This was placed upon Peter for our benefit, to forewarn us that of what could happen in our generation. Man in the flesh is very weak, and that is why we must think, act, and stay in the Spirit in our minds. Sure we are all going to fall short at one time or another, but think on the things of the Word.

Luke 22:63 "And the men that held Jesus mocked Him, and smote Him."

These elders of the temple sort of roughed Jesus up a bit, and mocked and hit Him.

Luke 22:64 "And when they had blindfolded Him, they struck Him on the face, and asked Him, saying, "Prophesy, who is it that smote Thee?"

They blindfolded Jesus and different ones would come up and smack Jesus on the head, then ask Him; "Tell us who it was that hit you." A brave bunch of cowards they were, these leaders at the Temple at the time of Christ. Real pack of gentlemen, if you call wolves gentlemen. How would you like to have the bunch of cowards in the millennium, to whip them into shape. I'd like to teach them quite a bit about discipline.

Luke 22:65 "And many other things blasphemously spake they against Him."

This is also a lesson to you and I living in these last days. Our families and friends that believe that Satan is the Christ will act the same way to us, when we refuse to take Satan as they will have done. They will say some pretty bad stuff about us also when we don't bow to the one they think is Christ.

Luke 22:66 "And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led Him into their council, saying,"

Luke 22:67 " "Art Thou the Christ? tell us." And He said unto them, "If I tell you, ye will not believe:"

When Jesus was delivered back to the Sanhedrin after these church elders played their games with Jesus all night. The Sanhedrin is not part of the Roman government, but it is still the Kenite leaders that are about to try Jesus, and if there was ever a court that was evil, this is it. The church of that day has captured Yashuah, Jesus the Christ, and they are about to try him on the grounds that He violated their tradition and false doctrine.

Luke 22:68 "And if I also ask you, ye will not answer Me, nor let Me go."

Luke 22:69 "Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God."

Jesus is quoting from Psalms 110, and I doubt if any of those in that council knew what Jesus was saying. They were plotting a murder, and they just did not want anything stopping them. Jesus stopped short in His Quoting of Scripture, for it goes on to say; "Until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool." This is also repeated in part in I Corinthians 15. As you continue to read Psalms 110 and get to verse 6, those dead are the fallen angels; the Naphilim. You can see a picture of the thoughts within Christ's mind as these things are transpiring.

Luke 22:70 "Then said they all, "Art Thou then the Son of God? And He said unto them, "Ye say that I am."

These Kenites Jewish leaders wanted to hear Jesus state that He was the Christ right from His mouth. Jesus answered them by saying, "You say that I am." If your going to take things out of context, it simply didn't matter what Jesus said because they were getting their false witnesses to purger themselves. And like Satan their father, they would swear to anything just to have this murder of Jesus take place. Keep in mind that this was not a trial in this council but a murder plot, and the children of Satan were doing the planning and plotting. It just didn't matter what the facts of the case were, they wanted Christ's blood. They were sealing the death sentence on their own father Satan, as well as themselves in committing this murderous act against our Lord Jesus Christ.

However this is what Jesus came to earth at the first advent for, Born of a virgin, living a perfect life, and teaching and healing in His ministry, and then after He revealed the traditions of these Kenites, and shed light on who they were, and they wanted to kill him. Jesus told them who they were right to their face, as we read in John 8:44, that they were the children of the first murderer [Cain], who was the child of their father, Satan, the father of lies. No, Jesus did not tell these pack of murderers who He was, but they assumed that He said it and that is good enough for this tribe of liars. Jesus said, "You said it, not me." They wanted Jesus to say, "I am the Christ", so that is what they recorded.

Luke 22:71 "And they said, "What need we any further witness: for we ourselves have heard of His own mouth."

They didn't hear that from Jesus mouth, but if this entire pack of liars lie, does that make it the truth. Well, in their make-believe court and council; truth just doesn't matter. That is what they wanted to hear from Him, so that is what was recorded. Don't get shook if you are talking with a non-Christian for it just matter what they say, for the truth is not in them anyway. A lie is a lie, and in this case they are trying to base their murderous plot on the lies that they are forming in their own councils. Once Satan is here on earth, claiming to be Christ and setting up His councils, do you think it will be any difference than at this trial of Christ.
